Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Kinda like coming in the post, as the seller literally delivered this to the house! Local FBMP has been on fire lately with stupid deals!

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Got the plates mocked up for my RC150, and printed just for testing purposes. I will change around the openings on the radio plate to match the actual equipment used. Hope these become the first pieces I get cut on my cheap CNC.

Re: Robb's Garage

Futaba FX-10s. I had ended up collecting random, mostly junky, FX10s in an attempt to rebuild the first "hobby grade" RC I ever had. I ended up with enough parts and pieces to originally put together three different versions. 1) box art stock, 2) a more modern "runner," 3) a mons...

Re: Robb's Garage

Tamiya Porsche 956 Mk.5. Of all my builds, this one is in my top 5 of surprising and fun builds. Super impressed with the quality of this car, and did not expect it from Tamiya. I picked up another one of these from a flea market recently, and look forward to building it in the future. Before: tamiy...

Re: Robb's Garage

The Brewster Baker Trackmaster. This was a trackmaster chassis'd oval car with a Badger oval car transmission. When I picked this car up, it looked like it had sat in a pond for a couple of years ..... when done, it was a BOTM winner. Before: TM OVAL CAR NEW 1.jpg After: TM DONE OVERALL TOP.jpg TM D...

Interfab Viper EX-10. This car was well preserved rare car, and really just need a bit of TLC. It ended up being a BOTM winner.

The AE TF10. I just wanted to build a long, dual deck, TF AE based car, so I did this. I feel like I rushed the paint, and want to revisit this in the future to top it off more correctly. tf10 build 1.jpg TF10 BUILD 11.jpg TF10 BUILD 16.jpg TF10 BUILD 18.jpg TF10 DONE 2.jpg TF10 DONE 1.jpg

Saw this on ebay today, and I remembered this thread. Not sure how Jim Marrant used this, but props to him for the ingenuity.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

I took a couple of pics while out getting my steps in today, on a trail along a kinda side area along the James River, just south of Richmond, Va. There are parts of the river here that used to be part of the original James River, but over time, more direct "gaps" were cut in to straighten...

Re: Favorite tools

A friend told me about these crimpers and I was apprehensive, as I have bought other servo lead crimpers from Amain in the past that I was not at all happy with. These crimpers however are awesome. There ratcheting and make shortening leads super easy when wanting to do a super clean wiring job. I ...
