Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

It's not often that I get a large batch of motors that I like all of them, but today is one of those days.

My only disappointment is that the Checkpoint isn't a modified. But it's only a small disappointment.

Re: Vintage motor questions

Comm Drops increased electrical conductivity between the brushes and the commutator for more power/rpm. RCCA did an excellent article on Comm Drops back in the day... I'll post a link when I find the article unless someone else beats me to it as it was a neat read. Found the article but for the lif...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

Another thing I did within the week-end was to print a TPU part. My daughter's car exhaust had an issue : the silent block (rubber) was broken, and the main exhaust tube detached itself from the collector. I had to find a temporary solution until we get the replacement parts (silent block and conne...

Nothing too special. Fairly nice RC10 runner with a Kinwald inspired body. If there is a mod for the 6-gear that makes it smoother, this has it. Team Car universals. Long arms, JC Racing wheels, Jconcepts rear tires, Schumacher fronts. Reliable runner that rarely let's me down.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I'm not interested in most of the Fantom motors, but the older ones are pretty cool. I found a cool seller that worked with me and even included an interesting mystery motor. Also picked up an older AYK motor.

Competition Plus Scans Archive

I put together a simple archive site with all of my Competition Plus scans here:
https://rchistoricalsociety.org/

Nowhere near complete, but I will maintain the site and upload more as I can. All issues are downloadable PDFs with highlightable text so you can copy, paste, control/f, etc.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

4 x Airtronics 94732 servos. I knew Airtronics servos and radios as the top of the line back in the 90's, so I prefer to use Airtronics servos in my builds. I got a great buy on these and am happy to have them. 94732 servo was used in the RC10T manual.
