Re: FanRC FR01 TEN4.1 (Revised)
It hit me today that I need to finish this vehicle very soon, or I never will. I started looking at the body, and trimmed and test fitted the stock Turbo Mirage body, and really just didn't like it. It has been stated, and I will agree, the body quality is meh, and I didn't really like how it fit ov...

and the graphite finally makes an appearance
6030 graphite? They are showing the 89 car and description so it's hard to say for certain, but they don't show any other older kits- 6010, 6011, etc ..

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - October 2024 ** - Winner - TheDiamondOne
I'm in My entry is the Marui Racing Buggy, aka Hunter prototype (at very least, this is the inspiration, from a single picture) https://i.imgur.com/X7RrfXd.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/hXNwRk6.jpeg Again, this is relying a lot on 3D printed parts : At the very exception of the wheels (orginals from a Ma...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - October 2024 ** - Winner - TheDiamondOne
Gonna take you back to an very important car in my rc history. 1989. This was my ultima that was modified as much as my budget for a 16 year old could afford mowing lawns (which I still do to this day for a living). Our local track converted to dirt oval. It was a very loamy heavily watered soil so ...

Cliff Lett RC10 bodied CAT XL - Romsey ‘87
Not been on here for a while or really into much RC-wise but these are too cool not to post. An old journalist friend has loaned me his album of personal pictures from the Romsey Worlds in 1987. I have seen one thread requesting pictures of this car but not much else - these shots are previously uns...

Re: Vintage team checkpoint brushes
So back onto the question of brushes that fit Checkpoint motors. I foolishly got some 26D brushes that are incorrect size and are standup instead of laydown. What spec of slot car brushes will work? I'm not familiar with any of them other than the ones that I now know are wrong. Brush size is 36D.....

Re: Vintage team checkpoint brushes
Definitely hard to find these with the shunts. I've had some luck in the past on ebay by searching, "R/C vintage brushed motor parts lot".....they pop up sometimes that way, mixed in with other stuff and are usually cheaper when they do. Scored these Trinity ones a few months back....$65, ...

Tamiya Vehicle/Driver/Whatever Table
Here's something I did out of boredom a looooong time ago, and just came across it on an old flash drive. I decided one day to make a table of various Tamiya models that had driver names and or slogans/expressions/etc...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I can relate to the above post, but in a shocking development I came out to the barn to watch the Colts for a bit and the one B3 I have left caught my eye. Decided to open the r/c tool box for the first time in a long time. Gonna tear it down to run it with the greatest motor of all time. The Johnso...
