Re: How to install brushed motor armature
No clue if that was the right armature but it did fit. So I'm calling it good enough, or at least better than being disassembled in a wet box.

Re: ** POS Runner of the Month - June 2025 **
Rc10MT conversion Back in the early 90's I had an uncle that was getting out of the rc game and gave my father an rc10 with a handful of spare parts. It sat for almost a decade when I decided to get it running again, threw in a novak duster and silver can, and then went on and converted it into a mo...

Re: Composite Craft Predator Lynx re-build
Found another chance to run outdoor, on-road asphalt (can-am) at another great vintage meet-up/weekend....much tighter course, was designed for 12thscale. Took a while to get used to the track and find the right setup....but in the end the old Predator Lynx hooked up pretty good. I'll post a run vid...

Re: My graveyard of carcasses has arrived
Lastly, I went with two set of wheels and tires- (barcodes on white JConcepts, pins on Jammin Jay fronts and stock dyed rears). I also wanted a box art body, or close to it. I'm pretty pleased with it. It will do a backflip if you hammer the throttle from a stop, or pull the front wheels up for 20-3...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
The PCM actually lives with a vintage RC10 CE. It's just a cool display piece.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 7:54 pmOooo, very nice display! But now I have a question. Is that PCM radio used with one of these three?Dustydrone wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 7:49 pm Well... I finally got around to putting these classics out on display.

Re: ** POS Runner of the Month - June 2025 **
Not as POS-ish as some other members, but here's some more of my junk. $40 Ebay Grasshopper (GH 2 body). I bought some Blitzer Beetle wheels on clearance, a pinion, and a battery door. Everything else came from my junk stash. I have less than $60 in it. It has a Redcat 550 motor, Axial esc (with dra...

Re: Identification of shocks on a rc car!
The cups and collars are AE but the shocks are not. They have no hex under the cap. They're possibly Parma (I think they may have sold a blue shock like those but not 100%), or re-ano'd Duratrax or Kyosho golds. Could also be off some Bluebird model I don't know about.

Re: ** POS Runner of the Month - June 2025 **
I was really curious to see what GrePo was going to enter. I was almost sure it was going to be the world's roughest, most abused Yokomo 🤣 The world's roughest Yokomo failed without a chance against the Hopper in an internal preliminary decision. The only thing I can do with it now is to dress it u...

Re: Front Wheel Drive Buggy Discussion
A little goofing off I did awhile back. More designed for a 4wd onroad truck, but travel could always be added. It was just a proof of concept thing.

Re: TRX-3 Build
Got the front brace made. 20161228_121223~2~2.jpg I know this is an old thread, but did you have this made or make it yourself? any tips on making one for myself? Well I got the fiberglass from an old TRX-3 top plate, then measured the hole spacing and determined the correct dia. drill bit. I think...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - June 2025 **
Despite being a lot of RC10 versions, there's nice variety this month! I think the rere parts availability has really helped with inspiring new builds. Nothing too special. Fairly nice RC10 runner with a Kinwald inspired body. If there is a mod for the 6-gear that makes it smoother, this has it. Te...
