Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
Hello everyone, It is my first thread beside my introduction in this forum. It had stars on the box, it came from Japan, but it was not a Tamiya. I believe the rear conception was slightly inspired from Tamiya's Holiday Buggy, while the front suspension looked like taken from a Formula one of that p...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-)
I think if I were planning to run one I'd change the rear to use two shocks to preserve the chassis . I intend to do some reinforcement. At minima, I would put a link between the two shock towers to help the forces partition. Eventually, that link would be also tied with the rear gear box cover (ag...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-)
The black chassis , are they for the Galaxy ? Yes, the black chassis are initially Galaxy's one. They are the same as the Hunter V2, but black instead of grey. NB: Hunter V1 don't have holes for the roll cage stay of the Galaxy, as well the shock towers are rounded. My original Hunter was a V1. I g...

After a few adjustments (to reduce the width of the inserts going into the shock towers), here is the result: https://i.imgur.com/xZM25Zh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/dwwIkhA.jpg Fit is perfect... Only thing left is to use another material to print the definitive parts. And I'll check as well how a Galax...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-)
That's really coming on , the more I look at it the more I think you should combine the reinforcement with the gear cover as one part ? Well, I thought about this, and looked in details on the 4 chassis (included a broken one) I have in hands currently: I believe threads to mount the gearbox cover ...

Kyosho Javelin Legendary series - 30618
Hello! https://i.imgur.com/v8pdeVD.jpg While I'm waiting to restart the Marui Hunter project, I decided to start the build of the Javelin which was sitting under my desk for the last few months... The opened box is as usual nice and clean. Almost tempted to keep it this way, but that's not possible ...

Re: Kyosho Javelin Legendary series - 30618
Changed the motor position, and it's better on the contact side (can't go on the other side, as it would go against the roll cage)

Re: 2014 Beetle
Got it all wired up. - This car doesn't have much room for a traditional antenna wire, so I had to wrap a good bit around a spool (Traxxas 1926) and attach it to the side of the receiver. - The tub has an opening in the bottom to pass the motor leads through, keeps it clean. - The car is setup to h...

Re: Kyosho Javelin Legendary series - 30618
I reworked the front led bucket attachement as I found the first one too large. I also designed a part for the rear side. Front is supposed to be used with light buckets (any available on ebay should do it), and rear is supposed to work with standard 5mm red leds. https://i.imgur.com/PmWstRL.jpg Mou...
