I ran a Works 91 bitd for many years with decent success. I still have the car. We used an RPM rear bulkhead/gearbox housing which with the eccentric fittings allows for subtle rear belt tension adjustment. As such I never had any issues with the fine pitch belts. Looking at what you've shown, this is what I'd guess: Car 1: Probably began as an original Cougar, judging by the rear bulkhead and possibly the rear hubs (very hard to see if it has the old Cat-style rear hubs, or the later Shotgun hubs the second one...
