Re: Currently Watching
I've got the week off to relax, so I'm surfing YouTube watching random vids of whatever and came across this one. Pretty darned neat, I'll be checking out more of his channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stwNVGHPn_M stwNVGHPn_M Fascinating! :D 3 bolt mains! Hadn't seen that done before. T...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Is there a modern 1:12 car that you like these days? Cue the obligatory Schumacher reference from me :D There is the current 1/12 World Champion Schumacher Eclipse 5: https://www.racing-cars.com/rc-models-2/cars/cars-2wd-4wd=2wd/eclipse-5-1-12th-circuit-kit-k203?returnurl=%2frc-models-2%2fcars%2fca...

Re: Schumacher Shock Question
Yes. I swapped those caps onto a set of Storm ST shocks, which are the same as your KC shocks.
I have Storm ST shocks with plastic caps, the KF2 shocks with alloy caps (no bleed screw), and the alloy caps from your pic (with bleed screws). All three caps fit all of my big bore Schuey shocks.

Re: Masami Hirosaka reinvents the MX-4 with G-Force MX-4 Forever
Apparently these are all being hand built by Masaaki Hirosaka That is COOL! :D Even cooler if he sends the empty parts bags along with the finished kit. (On the Masam XLS video series, Masaaki said he always sends the parts bags with every kit he builds. He is shown assembling a CAT and neatl...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
For a good second I thought you installed a screw and locknut through the battery holder for some reason. I stared at it for a lot more than a second. My initial thoughts: "I know most of these are shelfers, but I didn't think those guys actually bolted them to the shelf. Oh wait....I se...

Masami's CAT
I assumed Masami's CAT would be the holiest of holies within Schumacher. On the contrary, the current crew seems to know very little about it. I guess that is racing: if it isn't winning races now, it is just an old car. The video is still good to watch, as it gives a closeup view of the actual cham...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
I did open the HPI Porsche wheels, they were not compatible with the HPI tires I have. Ordered the MX60 slicks that are the only tires that fit them, RCmart still had a new set front and rear. Good call. The Porsche wheels are going to push that van to a whole new level of cool. :D With so many VWs...

Re: Team Associated RC200 Ad
Did these cars have a differential? I am thinking they didn't...
Edit: @RC10resto anticipated my question by a decade or so
I found this in another thread. The standard kit did not have a diff, but they were available from AMPS. He posted these instructions:

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
Yes, those are fingernail stars for women . They are the perfect scale size to try to make this happen. Perfect! I bought some of those for an Evel Knievel themed buggy but wasn't sure they would work on the inside of the lexan, so I haven't tried it yet. For the helmet they should work well. ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I never had any trouble with potentiometers, but I can see why LRP would think this would be a more reliable solution. In theory, subjecting a potentiometer to the dirt and vibration of offroad racing is not ideal.
