Re: ** Hopelessly Incomplete Project of the Month - April 2025 **
This project frustrates me. I was making great progress, and then life got really busy as usual. I feel that it won't get completed for some time. It is sort of a Traxxas SRT-ish Kyosho RT5/6 mongrel... Jeff's Rustler to SRT conversion chassis, white Traxxas 2wd plastics, and the shocks and hubs fro...

Re: NIKKO General Discussion Thread
There is also a very rare Nikko gas car. I had one that I purchased on eBay years ago and sold off again...
It was a GP-15 based Mercedes touring car. A good example can be found here:

Re: Kyosho Nitro Blizzard
My favorite Kyosho of all time. It is an absolute blast in the snow, and amazing when it "comes on plane" blowing through it.

Re: Kyosho Blizzard EV
Yep, the cutting brake steering was awesome, but needed a torque-y servo!

Re: Kyosho Blizzard EV
Dangeruss It isn't so much about the tracks, but rather the drive cogs and drive chains along with the tensioning band for the rear bogey wheel. Those don't like really high speeds and the impacts they transmit to the suspension. That said, they handle most brushless motors just fine. BattleTrak Ni...

Re: Losi Double XT CR Modern Racer
Cut'n 'n Shut'n... good times. I did a lot of that in the early crawler days to make comp tires.
Do you stretch then glue and sauce, or sauce first and glue afterward?

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Got a couple white case Ace servos. They aren't particularly strong or fast but damn that looks sweet. Nice! They look similar to the white Kyosho Perfex servos.... except they haven't faded over time! Agreed. As an added bonus, they likely have more torque and speed than an anemic Perfex servo as ...

Re: Kyosho mint green paint
The closest I have found off the shelf is Montana Gold in color code 6130 - Malachite. It is an acrylic graffiti paint available from art supply stores, although you can also get it from Amazon. The green wing shown is from the Javelin mint cage set. The paint itself is flat, which doesn't matter in...

Re: Kyosho mint green paint
HS-YZ250 Screenshot_20250501_154722_Gallery.jpg The paint is an acrylic, so it is flexible like lexan paint. Adhesion is good, but you want to work several light coats. I haven't sprayed the body yet, but did a few soda bottles. I was practicing with white backing and will try silver next. My plan ...
