Re: Currently Playing

Thank you. I remember reading that, but clearly can't apply the knowledge. Fixed it.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

My 5b clone arrived today, this was the one I got for $311 shipped but was coming by sea. Ended up a few weeks early, but still about a month and a half. Still, not at all disappointed, well worth saving the $100 or so in air freight. It's an absolute monster That’s a good price for it, I have a 36...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

A local facility manufactures Jessie brand PLA. They insist that PLA really doesn't need to be dried. Water is a part of the manufacturing process. It is used to make the plastic more ductile and the filament runs through a 20' trough of water during manufacturing from pellet form. ABS and PETG do r...

Re: Kyosho Assualt

Thanks for posting this advertisement for my favorite Kyosho buggy! Even after owning three of them purchased on eBay and rebuilt, then sold in the early 2000's, I never knew about the battery on the bumper to power the glow start. None of the cars I rebuilt had the plug connector to the motor, and ...

Are you looking to use it on a track and get good handling characteristics or just all out straight line speed?

Re: Favorite tools

@morrisey0 I'd spring for the MIP bits. While expensive, they are of exceptional quality.

Re: Futaba T3pk steering issue

Analog servos will jitter or hum in HRS mode, so sounds like the steering potentiometer may be failing. They can be replaced. I believe some folks have come across them from Plaza out of Japan. You might find a write up on RCTech. As for more modern transmitters, the 4PK will run in FASST protocol a...

Re: Futaba T3pk steering issue

The FASST, Spektrum DSM1, and KO ASF (with adapter) modules all plug in and work. So do AM 27mHz and FM 75mHz.

Re: Futaba T3pk steering issue

Look into the Flysky Noble (NB4 or NB4+). It is quite reliable and uses $35 receivers. I use this, along with a Futaba 4PX. My sons use a 4PV and 3PV. Futaba FHSS receivers cost me $40-$50. Clone receivers cost $30. All of my cheap receivers are Flysky AFHDS models ($9 ea) bound to a Kyosho 432PT. I...

Re: Futaba T3pk steering issue

Trey, Glad you have the 3PK working again. It speaks to the quality of Futaba's product. The NB4 is a full race level radio. It is widely adopted in the 1/10th offroad market, and as a result, the price has headed upward. It is robust and feels high quality in hand. The touch screen is nice and the ...
