You guys made me realize that your idea of a heap and mine may differ...

Kyosho Pro XRT with some Nitro Pro arms. CAM motor, Tekin Sport ESC and a FlySky AFHDS receiver cobbled to a Kyosho 432 PT. The truck is setup to run carpet.

230mm WB, 200mm W is in the touring car realm. A lot of those bodies have unmarked rear wheel arches.

Flysky GT3B. There are MUCH nicer radios out there, but this one is cheap and reliable. Bump up to the GT3C if you prefer.

The Futaba 3PV is also an excellent budget radio if you are ok with spending the extra cash.

Nice MJ! Option #2 sitting on Pargu wheels looks the closest to sitting on 15's for me.

Done. It has been a long week. After seeing everyone's "work", I have some ideas from the parts bin for future entries. There were some tired cars posted.

If you prefer, they are absurdly simple to convert to electric. Otherwise, I second the vote for an OS or LRP engine.

Mini Z is always a good time. Do the reverse kingpin mod for MR03 and you are off! Running on RCP track is complete zen.

Slap a custom cut chassis protector on there and it won't be visible. Alternately, use a drill press and a countersink to tidy the irregular chamfer.

As for measles, using a soak of Greased Lightning or aircraft grade Simple Green can remove the remaining anodizing.

I had good luck with Montana Gold acrylic graffiti paint. I will post the color combo when I get home.

Hmmm. I haven't been out that way in a few years (I had two train obsessed kids), but I don't recall seeing that on display. The museum is impressive, even if you aren't into railroads.

Thank you for posting his work. That is an impressive feat of engineering and machining.

With that said, the staff there is so friendly, that if you showed them that photo, they might show you where it is stored in their archives.
