Servus from Germany!
Hi there, my name is Chris and I am from Stuttgart, Germany. I got into RC cars at around five years old with a Tamiya Rising Storm XB. Never really liked the looks of it but sure had a blast driving it. Still own it but every time I attempt to restore it I put it back on the shelf after two minutes...

Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
Disclaimer: Since this is going to be my first thread on here, don't expect everything to go smooth... :? :) Ever since I saw romulus22 's thread on these I wanted one. Of course there was not a single one for sale world wide, so I was on the hunt for a while. I had success after putting up a listin...

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
Took me a while to figure out why there where additional holes drilled and the right side of the chassis was cut and bent outwards. But then it dawned on me. This thing was at some point converted to electric!!! You can still see the trace of a motor mount if you look really close! The cutout on the...

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
I didn’t do a great job with taking pictures, to be honest
All the white plastics went into a jar of Hydrogenperoxyde. The jar is not the ideal container to do this. You would get more even uv-coverage in more shallow one.
This is the only pic I‘ve got that shows how yellow the arms were.

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
Shocks came out looking like new! No signs of wear on the Teflon coating. Didn’t even replace the o-rings. Just drained the old oil and put in some 35WT. They are still not leaking after jamming them to my favorite tunes for ten minutes straight, so I guess they are good enough  30wt might have...

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build
Next up was the "feared“ SST-Transmission It was quite notchy along with the diff when I tried it before disassembly. After opening it, I discovered it to be bone dry and the teeth clogged with plastic dust from abrasion. All the parts went into the ultrasonic cleaner. Had to chase all the teet...

RC10GT #7075, MIP stuff and box art look
This is a GT I found in Switzerland of all places! It was up for auction on a classifieds page for a low starting price and nobody was bidding on it  So I thought I‘ll just quickly sign up and put in a bid. But it wasn’t that easy… To sign up you had to authenticate your personal information ...

Re: RC10GT #7075, MIP stuff and box art look
This is how she looks after rebuild. Still missing some white parts like the right front arm, right rear suspension mount, rear body mount and spur gear… I also deanodized and polished the stinger pipe because I didn’t care for the purple. Not sure if everyone is going to like it, but I sure do. 8) ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
This is a Losi XXX-NT Adam Drake Edition I got offered for a good price. Just arrived and is in pretty good shape. Came with manual, box and radio. Engine is a O.S. CV-R, but I’m not sure if it’s a .12 or .15. Sadly missing the cool special AD wheels. Someday I’ll find a set… Going to be my main tra...

Re: RC10GT #7075, MIP stuff and box art look
The body turned out pretty nice for a runner. I procrastinated for a few weeks, then I just winged it one evening and did it in around four hours. The only thing bothering me is that I overdid the shading around the windshield. I tried to find the right shade of red, but couldn’t get any info about ...

Another Pro-XRT in ok-ish condition arrived today. First Sports version I‘ve found. Bought it mainly for the box and manual as I‘m missing those for my other one
Man, the box art looks so cool

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
It‘s been a while since my last post on here so there is a lot of catching up to do. Some interesting cars showed up at my door over the last few days that I’m super pumped about! They might not look like much at the moment but I think they are going to turn out great… Here’s a little preview :mrgre...

vonBrauns Yokomo Corner (Works ’91)
So this is my best (and cheapest) Yokomo find yet! It didn’t look like much at first glance but after having a closer look I noticed it’s originality and the lack of track dirt! Of course the paint job and wheels combination looks super ugly but those could easily be changed. So I jumped on it! Not ...
