Re: Tamiya Lunchbox

Are the Tamiya servo savers *really* considered to be Kimbrough style? The Kimbroughs have an internal coil spring and the Tamiya have a sloppy outer nylon tension collar. Replacing the Tamiya servo saver with a Kimbrough was always an easy upgrade.

Re: Backyard Tracks and Strangers

Is it close to the house or on a bit of open land? Is this stranger younger or older and does he seem like a decent guy? If it was right next to the house or in the backyard no. If it was away from the house a bit I'd probably say yes as long as the main guy knows that you hold him responsible for d...

Re: Backyard Tracks and Strangers

This certainly is a loaded question... I know I'd be quite leery of allowing it in this day and age. If nothing else because it would likely lead to having a snowball effect which greatly increase the odds of something bad eventually happening. Then if someone gets hurt on your property, you're held...

Looks like someone figured out how to adapt 4wd to the 10T

Saw this on Old School RC FB looks like they figured out how to get the 4wd front gearbox to work on the 10T nose 499546774_10228325496543161_5691931001006864920_n.jpg 498613763_10228325156814668_657213660471697547_n.jpg 498711638_10228325156894670_1513326460907234907_n.jpg 499149387_102283254954231...

Re: Backyard Tracks and Strangers

Hypothetically, do I think they are faster than me and might beat me on my home track?

Dangeruss wrote: Sat May 17, 2025 6:49 pm Neat post. Geometry is... interesting. Cool adaptation though. So who's got a 4wd and a DS?

...or a 4wd and an RC10 metallic edition 8)
I'm planning on doing a DS, but it'll be a bit before I buy parts for that project.

Re: Backyard Tracks and Strangers

Right next to the house I'd be cautious, it's too easy for them to snoop around and if people are used to seeing strangers near the house they won't alert you to any suspicious behaviour. The guys might be cool, but without knowing them I'd be leary. I'd probably start with inviting them for a run w...

Re: 1991 RC10 TEAM CAR No. 6036

Was that #6196 decal sheet rare in 2010? It's extremely common and used in several kits from the 6030 - 6037. Common back in the day but I'd call them uncommon even now since uncut sheets only pop up once every month or two... priced at ten to fifteen times what they were originally. ...I'm not one...

Re: RC10 Body Alternatives

I just picked up a couple Penguin Son of Jackal bodies off JC. Pretty unique look, I like how it stops at the rear tower but also looks like it's supposed to. They hug the tub tight too.
