I got out of the hobby just about that time the MP 7.5 came out, I was so close to buying the Inferno MP 777, the special limited edition, back then.
I haven't seen you post the Kyosho Racing Kart 10 yet, that's one I always wanted too.

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
For a large first project, I went too big when I purchased this model, it was designed with a 313mm wheelbase, that's just over a foot in WB alone! https://i.imgur.com/32ZXQDe.jpg Scaled the WB to 250mm, or just under 10" to get it to fit on the plate. https://i.imgur.com/0b3WMQM.jpg Problem is...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Thanks for the model. :D I ran into similar orientation problems with the F-100 and ended up separating it into panels (doors, roof, back, cowl, fenders, etc.) and making custom supports for each part. It's a lot of work but it was the only way I've found to make acceptable prints and reduce fillin...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Looking forward to seeing the F-100 chromed out. This is your model with the scale engine block, that has the DC motor in it? That's an interesting idea to orient the Bus model vertically like that, and then split it, to keep the original size or scale of the 313mm WB. Nice! Would also like to figur...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
The F-100 is going to be great, have to see it when it's done. Nice work getting the Bus model in to a CAD program! If you could figure out how to easily cut it up, you could make any of the Bus iterations with that model, like the truck-style bodies, or the crazy purpose built Bus's the factory, an...

Accessories.

Bare shell.

Time to start printing, I'll start with the @XLR8 file.
EDIT: @XLR8 , I don't see any new Bus files in the Gdrive.

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
This Bus shell will take another 6 hours to finish printing, but so far all of the window frames are complete, and don't look deformed. Major improvement.

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
XLR8 's roof-cut came out better than my first attempt. Had to print it upside down to get it to work. https://i.imgur.com/jGxIqjG.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Ga10XgF.jpg https://i.imgur.com/GRUM4MM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/CfysfVh.jpg I scaled the top too long, and made a microbus mullet. https://i.img...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
There were some artifacts in the print from my bed possibly being a bit out of level still. I may try to remove the last 0.55mm of left-to-right leveling, to see if I can get the bed perfectly even/flat. Then I can blame something else for causing these defects :) In order to keep the roof and the b...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Thanks! I didn't use percentages when scaling, just typed in an absolute number for both parts on the Y-axis. I'll measure the body first, and make the difference up on the roof next time.
This model might be good for road running, or demolition derby, but it's not shelf worthy unfortunately

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
3D printing is incredible! But I don't think this roof can be smoothed out, this Bus model was pretty inaccurate/rough overall, was worth the experiment though. https://i.imgur.com/PDjoh0V.jpg Got the wheels on the 3D Buggy, calling this done. https://i.imgur.com/Vy3vIzD.jpg Thanks again XLR8 for yo...
