Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
I've saved the largest and most complex parts for last on this project. This bed side required 11-1/2 hours to print -- but I think it was worth the time. With layer height set to 0.08mm, the layer lines are almost non-existent. A few passes with some 380 grit paper and they're gone. I probably cou...

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
I never got around to the vw but the sandy was super cool. Remember to pick up the belts, bearings, and out runner motor if you start printing one- get them ordered so you aren't waiting

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
Looking forward to seeing the pics! There's also a Dune Buggy and a Sand Rail in the Gdrive, that GoMachV uploaded, been thinking about giving one of those a print. Yes I've seen them. Both are very cool and I will print them one day. It will be a nice break to simply print a completed kit that's b...

Re: Tamiya Buggy Champ - 2009 Reissue Rough Rider
I admire your persistence. You keep after it until it's perfect.
I'll give my paint jobs one shot and just live with all the imperfections. If I try to repair my mistakes, I always make them look worse.
The wheels and tires look amazing!!

Re: Tamiya Buggy Champ - 2009 Reissue Rough Rider
It irritates me to no end how Tamiya cans only provide enough paint for one small vehicle. If you need to paint something larger or correct any mistakes, you'll need to buy a second can.
Def not a fan but sometimes it's the only way to find the right color.

Re: Tamiya Fighting Buggy - 2014 Reissue Super Champ
This is the car that started me down the rc car path at age 13. I definitely remember the commercial and still chuckle at the "water proof" rubber balloons. I learned a expensive lesson early and haven't driven a car in the water since. I have a NIB rere Fighting Buggy sitting in the queue...

Re: Tamiya Buggy Champ - 2009 Reissue Rough Rider
Thanks for the encouragement! Hoping to see one of your builds too, when you get to it. The one tool that makes every project easier, and turn out better as a direct result, is a lighted magnifier headset - imo. It's the most used tool out of any I own, would buy another today if mine got lost or b...

Re: Tamiya Buggy Champ - 2009 Reissue Rough Rider
... With a lighted magnification headset, no flaws can hide, which is why I'm constantly redoing things, can better see how bad things really are 8) Ah HA, there's your problem! A "lighted magnifier headset". Flaws don't exist if you can't see them so do yourself a favor and get rid of th...
