Scored an astute on marketplace!
Found this tamiya astute on marketplace last night and drove quite a ways out to get it. The seller told me that it once had a crazy brushless system in it, melting the differential. It's been disassembled for quite awhile, but most of it appears to be present.

Oops, I did it again. Offerup RPM Ultramold
I cannot stop buying vintage buggies. This Ultramold popped up last night on Offerup and for $150 I could not not buy it. I mean, come on. It's freaking awesome! It also came with a box of spares including a NIB set of MIP CVDs for a goldpan and a OS .15 CVR engine. Screenshot_20250116-164402_Galler...

Re: Oops, I did it again. Offerup RPM Ultramold
All stripped down and ready for cleaning and reassembly. Looks to be in really nice (by my standards) condition. But definitely run hard and fast, good since I plan on doing the same. Shelf queens are cool, but seeing them in action is where it's at.

How to press in or remove RC10 Stealth roll-pin
I'm sure this has been discussed numerous times before, but this is the answer I wish I found on Google when doing my sleath. Find a vice or pair of pliers or channel locks or vice grips. Cut a slit into one end, then position the roll pin like I have here. You should be able to press the pin in no ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Finished up my "Spare Parts" Stampede. I've got ~$90 in it, with the wheels/tires and body accounting for ~$60 of that. A new Spektrum esc (on sale) and Amazon servo account for about half of the remainder. 20250202_192232.jpg 20250202_192316.jpg I love that you have an arrma motor in you...

Re: Oops, I did it again. Offerup RPM Ultramold
It cleaned up so nice. Need some rear tires and servo mounts still. You guys were right. There's no way I can run this. It's remarkably clean.

I keep doing it - Losi JRX Pro SE
Well, I did it again. This time a $60 Losi JRX Pro from offerup. It came with a ton of spares and tools. Even a charger and transmitter. It also seemed to be a pretty competitive car BITD. Theres 11 plaques with podium wins glued inside the case. More pics later maybe. 20250217_165916.jpg Screenshot...

Re: Back In My Day ..................
Costco had an arcade machine a few years back with all the late 80's arcade games on it. If memory serves, it was something like $1200 at the time, and scrolling through the menu it really didn't have any of the games I enjoyed. I've always been drawn to the "simple" yet difficult games, ...

Re: POS Runner of the Month - March 2025
This is "Hotmess". My junker hornet. Screenshot_20250306-130658_Gallery.jpg The electronics are spares that I had from rebuilding other cars. The esc from my old stampede is on deaths door and has no reverse. It has an ampro locking battery door and ampro shock mount. The shock mount crack...
