The kid wrenching on his truck for the first time himself. Adding a variety of RPM parts, ball cups and turnbuckles. And swapping out the Hobbywing 1060 esc and 20T brushed motor for a 60A brushless esc and 3500KV motor setup.

Yesterday, I put in about 8 hours of driving for another interest I have, so today I wasn't really interested in any driving, but late this morning this popped on on FBMP a couple of hours away, and I couldn't help myself!! :D I have been trying to organize my garage recently, and in the process hav...

Re: The retro-not-real Turbo Ultima build
Looks great! I’ve used CA to do custom multilevel wings way back in the day, but a good hit and they’d crack. Honestly 3m double sided tape would allow some flexibility and you can even get clear now, so I’d look into that.

Re: Oops, bought a clanger ZX
The nice mixture of imperial and metric hardware, with a sprinkling of wood screws.
I particularly liked the hand carved front shock tower. And of the 6 or so bearings that were not upgraded to bushings most were siezed.

Re: The BMX (and other bikes) thread
While I’m not anything like I was as a kid, my 11 year old has surpassed me in the no fear area! All my kids walked and talked early, but he was walking at 9 months, figured out a 2 wheel bike at about 2 1/2. His first real bmx bike was a 12” Kink Roaster, then a 16” Sunday Primer, and we stepped hi...

Re: Reimagining Reissued RC cars
I think Pro Line needs to get in on the re-re business. All the old buggy tire options... and the truck tire options! I'm working on cleaning up a set of Trac Ta Gator tires. I just love a set of aggressive spiked tires.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - January 2025 ** - Winner - coxbros1
This is my tribute build to the Original Racing Master 956 as featured in the 1985 Tamiya Guide Book. This car and the Toyota Toms 84c highlighted 1/12 on road racing in that book. I have the Toms on the RM2 chassis, but they’ve become so expensive so went looking for something also that I could fit...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - January 2025 ** - Winner - coxbros1
This is sort of a What's old is new but also a ReRe , this definitely could have been done and is inspired by the A+L trailing arm conversions , it uses ReRe Kyosho Scorpion rear trailing arms mounted to the back of a Yokomo 834b ReRe . This allows some camber change as the wheel rises plus a little...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - January 2025 ** - Winner - coxbros1
An insane Drillinator got his tools on this pitful Yoke. I would love to know if this was done intentionally. Or is this neighbour's revenge after fighting his dog too hard? I never will find out because this Fighter came to me already mistreated in 2018. I jazzed it up with nice electronics. World ...
