Re: Raider Pro Resurrection

So I have had some fun with this car, but I seem to break something on it almost every time I take it out. First I broke a front knuckle when I clipped a curb. I found an RD-3 parts tree on eBay and re-made the steering setup to prevent that from happening again. Recently I flipped it and snapped th...

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)

They use the same belt, the only way to get there is to have pretty exact component locations and pulley tooth count. It's incredibly hard to get within 1.5mm on accident   That's fuc*ed. It's not like they didn't have the resources to make a novel solution. It's one thing to run you ou...

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)

Can we speculate, will MIP be chain drive? With MIP, my money will always be on new tool of some sort. :D Fun fact my buddy is some sort of an high flying electrical engineer at a national lab and has a need for lots of hex drivers in their lab. All the guys there use them and when I met them they ...

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)

Haven't been around these parts too much but as soon as I saw the news about the rc10 4wd in my news feed, I knew right where to come for the story and commentary. GomachV, very sorry to hear how you were treated in this. I sold off my shelfers a few years ago and all these re-re kits look so appeal...

Thought I'd bring this thread back into the new year....

WLToys curiosity project

I've had the building/tinkering bug lately. I'm pretty much done with the cars I have, and honestly, I don't have the money to build what I'd really like...Anyways, I still get tires and odd hardware from Amazon periodically. I never paid much attention to the RC cars they have, until now...I took t...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Recently put up a small shelf in the house for my wife. She said we could share it and all she wanted to put on it was a nice wooden mother mary statue. I asked, "So I could put anything else up on the shelf?" and she replied "yup". She basically gave me free range so I took it a...

Re: Frankentruck's RC10 SSC10BB (Belted Build)

Found what I was looking for that was tucked away, my Hyperdrive parts. A belt drive transmission seems like a good place for it to get used. So I drilled up my outer hub with 4 more holes so I can use a 3 screw spur pulley mount pattern. . 1000014552.jpg . Then I found 2 problems. The Hyperdrive sp...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I needed a 3mm tap and the hardware store didn't have one that small. So I went to my LHS. I ended up teaching the friendly but clueless young 'un what a threading tap was and showing him where they have them. But he was thankful for both lessons so it was worth overpaying for it there. ....

** POS Runner of the Month - March 2025 ** Winner - ZED32 (Hornet)

Running and bashing beats up an RC and make it ugly. Lack of painting ability, horrible painting concepts, bad masking that bleeds, and crash damage makes an RC ugly. Not cleaning up after a run and not storing an RC indoors make it ugly. This contest is for the uglies. What does winning mean? Congr...
