Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Today I received what's technically a Manta Ray  It is a Lee Broadhurst built car, a similar spec to the Manta Rays Craig Drescher and Jamie Booth are running. A mix of Tamiya Manta Ray gearcases and diffs, LBRC chassis, shock towers, arms and gears. Custom RC Parts alloy upgrades, Willspeed st...

Re: Blind bearing removal

GoMachV wrote: Thu May 15, 2025 9:42 am If you are feeling adventurous you could do what we do for pilot bearings on a transmission, pack the center hole of the bearing full of grease and insert a 5mm shaft, the grease will hydraulically force the bearing out.
Or go full Roadkill and use Wonder Bread instead of grease.

Tell me again about how we cant afford to produce RC parts in the USA anymore...

We cant always find lightbulbs from a USA manufacturer, or even vitamin C lol, but we CAN buy RC parts from the few USA manufacturers left often for the same or less than the china stuff. Not always, but often. How many people look to see where their pinion gear comes from? Buy that RPM gear cover, ...

Re: Backyard Tracks and Strangers

Does the "someone" happen to resemble Barbara Eden from her "I Dream of Jeannie" days? That could affect my answer.

Re: Tell me again about how we cant afford to produce RC parts in the USA anymore...

I'm happy to say two of my racing bicycles(cross country hardtail and road racer) are made here in my home town of Portland, OR. The parts on them are not made here. But that's okay. I really like how the RC companies mentioned above have continued to follow their passions. CRC is one of my favorite...

Re: Tell me again about how we cant afford to produce RC parts in the USA anymore...

I think this is why Schuey used serviceable bearings on their early off-roaders. The manual told you to clean and re-oil the bearings periodically to preserve your investment. I have not been able to confirm, but I suspect the CAT bearings were actually repurposed Mini Cooper wheel bearings. O...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

IMG_20250520_175302507_HDR.jpg Before you ask, no i don't have a formula i just kept adding white to Mission MMRC-011 RC Aqua till it looked right. Cutting the body to work with the Exodesign chassis was fun. I cut...

My rc10 projects

I joined this forum in 2012 just seeing where the progress was in rc. Specifically the rc10. I dove deep into modern rc cars, all team associated 1/10 mostly. Always run 2wd mod buggy and stadium truck. I’ve had a 2wd short course and still have a 4wheel but I love 2wd 1/10 scale. This is my first p...

Re: Rocket Lunchbox

Got the duel engine mount in for the 2 stage setup, just got to wire it up...hopefully a run this weekend 🤞...if all goes well, we'll, will hog out the tranny case for a 23 or 24t pinion....then we'll see over 50mph 20250521_212057.jpg Engines mounted to chassis now, not the body 20250521_212734.jpg

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Stickered up and final trimmed and mounted the body and wing. Wing is not perfect, really hard to get paint on the inside area of the sides but it's acceptable for a runner.
