Re: my Edinger Resto
I'm a fan of the Gotcha sponsorship! Decals taken right off the tags that came on the neon pink and blue pair of trunks right? Founded here in So Cal by South African Michael Thompson..there's some surf trivia for you.

Re: Very Early Prototype Associated Cars from Curtis
Hi, This is Curtis Husting. I'm not so sure you really want to attempt to make one of these chassis. It will be much harder than you think. If you think you want to attempt it, this is kind of how I did it. First I made a one inch thick aluminum plug that the aluminum would be formed around. Basical...

Re: 12mm hex conversion
Yes the truck axles are longer and use the thicker 12 mm hex. It's a 4mm difference. So if you use the truck axles/hex, your total front width will be 8 mm wider. Depending on the backspacing of the wheels you want to use, this could be used to your advantage. I included this pic so you can see both...

Re: Hex conversion using Schumacher parts
Cool conversion. Slightly off topic- I am still wondering why this is done at all, in the first place-- seems like there is more rotating mass with this design-- which means slower. Having the 'old' style of a fixed axle seems more efficeinet, no? More efficient, and also less leverage on the beari...

RC10 Radio Wheel
I have just had the brainstorm of 3D printing a radio wheel. I printed a radio wheel for my traxxas transmitter yesterday and thought to myself. What if I printed a wheel that looked just like an original rc10 wheel?!? Well in about 3 hrs I hopefully will have one unless something goes wrong wit my ...

Re: Ebay Dhawk all aluminum components
I have three sets of the parts. They're pretty nice parts but have a few caveats. The rear arms and mounts need a little finessing to get them working smoothly. The front steering linkage are metric so the screws really don’t work with the chassis. I had issues fitting an outer bearing in the 6 gear...

Re: My RCovid10 Project
Great build. So many questions- How much does it weigh? How do ypu like the fit & finish of the Dhawk parts? What is the part # of that RPM gear cover?-- EDIT -- found it As shown with the addition of an unpainted body 1lb 13oz. Dhawk parts fit pretty well. I had some issues with the hinge pins...

Re: Ebay Dhawk all aluminum components
I recently ordered the steering bellcranks in silver to upgrade from the original plastic and have been very happy. Main downside is that they ship from China so it took a little under two weeks to arrive. Very happy with the quality and steering now feels much more responsive. They look really nice...
