Re: So, what did you do RC today?
A friend of mine bought a used Slash and wanted me to see if I could fix the body. Personally, I would've trashed it and started over. Anyway, I stripped the paint from the outside and cleaned up the cuts (which looked like it was done with a rusty hacksaw). I fabricated a new bed from styrene, repl...

Re: Today, A Stupid Person...
...Said stupid person then feels the need to ride my arse, so I get back to the right lane ASAP. Said stupid person hovers around my rear quarter panel, then slacks off and eventually drifts back. I don't get it, I just don't get it. Whenever I go to Texas, I find several like that on I-10, empty h...

Re: The "Golden Age of RC" meaning
For me, it was the 80's...The RC10 was wildly popular, and there were countless aftermarket companies making parts. Hobby shops were everywhere, and new products seemed to be coming out every week. I was living in Houston at the time, and I remember 9 tracks in the general area. Organized racing was...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Rainy day here, so I disassembled, cleaned and lubed the transmission on my 6-gear runner....After my latest runs, I figured it at least needed an inspection.

Re: Is there a trick to the TA RC10?
I've built my T3 into a homemade, short course spec abomination....I cut my own chassis, shock tower, and braces from G10 fiberglass, and pretty much redesigned most of the layout....It's become my street terrorizer, and is easily the most fun driving car I have.

Re: Is there a trick to the TA RC10?
Thank you so much!...Yes, it's a servo mount from Exotek. The bracket in front of it is the rear battery holder. Here's a close up:
Here's the front:
I used a JConcepts steering crank for an RC10.

Re: What RC Videos Do You Like On Youtube?
I'm going to be a little different, and say ....anything by "Timsane". For those who like building, his fabrications are awesome to watch. Unfortunately, he hasn't posted anything in quite some time (health issues).

New RC Genre
It's been awhile since I've posted here, but I wanted to share my latest project... Kyosho Mini Z buggy (MB010). Recently, a new shop, with a track, opened down the street from me. These guys are serious about doing things right, and having a good time with it. I've never considered a 1/24 scale car...

Re: New RC Genre
... I found it much more challenging to race them than the common 1/10 and 1/8 size cars. If you've tried it then you know! I have found it VERY challenging! ...The last racing I've done was dirt oval with 1/10. I'm having to learn how to drive all over again....BTW, the body was painted in floures...

Tribute to my Friend
Hello, it's been awhile since I've posted here. I wanted to show a very special car body...It's a tribute to my "brother from a different mother", Ramiro Padilla. Recently, I spoke to his brother, and was inspired to do do this project. The body is a JConcepts Mirage, mounted on my shelfer...
