Re: Forum News & Discussion
Alright, the update has been completed successfully :!: I started it at 3:00am east coast US time in an attempt to cause minimal disturbance. It took roughly 3 hours to complete. I still have a number of modifications to reinstall, and some skins as well, but didn't want to keep the board closed any...

Re: Forum News & Discussion
Hey I'm just glad to see you're paying attention. it's a new feature since the latest update. If you're directly replying to the most recent post in a topic like I'm doing to yours, having to quote it can be seen as a little redundant. I can see though where it would be needed like if you'...

Re: Translucent box art paint job
You may have seen this, but DemZ kept the body of his partially clear and I think it's a pretty cool look. Not quite the same of course, but worth a look. 8) http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=39589 You must be special, Thumbs... when I click the link, it says "You are not author...

Re: Forum News & Discussion
That seems good in theory but it doesn't work that way unfortunately. I manually make a backup every so often, and I think there's a modification out there that will do it automatically once a month or so but this place is too large for that. The problem is it's all or nothing. You can't just backup...

Accounts cannot be closed
After receiving several requests for account closure, it's something I feel needs to be addressed. Closing your account is not an option. If you no longer have a use for RC10Talk such as leaving the hobby for instance, you say your goodbyes if you wish, and leave on a good note. It also leaves the d...

Re: Is this Vintage enough?
We're going with any R/C from the '90s or older are placed in their normal locations, and any R/C from after the millennium goes into the '21st Century Modern' location. I looked up the dates of the two models you're interested in building. The NTC3 is from after 2000, so it should really go in '21s...

Re: I need a belt for my Track Master Turbo Glide transmission
Like mentioned above, the SDP/SI site is a great resource for some hard to find parts.
One of these belts they have may work...

Re: Forum News & Discussion
Modifications are back to functioning properly besides the lightbox images mod. I have to reinstall that, and still make a bunch of little changes. That won't be until later today though as it's past 5:00am here and I'm going to sleep.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2019 **
Dinglem, I personally enjoy reading your posts as do others I'm sure. It's very interesting seeing the UK history/contribution to the hobby. The problem is when topics don't get replies it makes the original poster feel as if nobody is interested but that's not always the case. If members don't have...

Re: Pinging
That's what I thought but wasn't sure as it's been gone for over a year now. It was a nice feature but had several problems that the creator wasn't interested in fixing. Then after the next board upgrade it was no longer compatible anyway so it was dropped. I installed the 'Thanks' system in its pla...

@Lonestar
Ah what the heck. I reinstalled it again as I know it was a popular feature.
I had to tweak it a bit to make it work better but nevertheless it's back. All member groups can use it besides Regular Members.

Thunder Tiger Challenger restoration
Back around the mid 90s I had a Kyosho Rowdy Baja. It was the 'Extra' version which means it had dual rear shocks and an adjustable ball diff! Unfortunately it had a quick life in my hands and I never ended up driving it. I wanted to get it running in order to take on our yearly summer vacation to W...

Re: Thunder Tiger Challenger restoration
The experience I had with the Rowdy Baja has certainly helped me in the restoration. I kind of feel like I did all those years ago which is what this is all about on a certain level. The hardware has come in along with some supposedly safe desgreaser I got as well. Everything from the midd...
