Re: Forum News & Discussion

I received a reply from support that said upon looking into it they didn't find anything wrong. It's an intermittent problem, and of course by the time they checked it out it was no longer happening. The only thing I can do is keep contacting them when it happens. I was also thinking of re-im...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

I turned off the setting that automatically disables the board under max load so that message should no longer be appearing. It'll help somewhat but when the server gets too overloaded, the site will just completely fail to load as a result. The latest response from support thinks it may have to do ...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

Alright, the site is now running through Cloudflare which so far seems to have made a vast improvement. I'm hoping it has fixed the problem. As mentioned in my previous post, we've tried Cloudflare in the past and I really liked it but it caused all of the attachments to stop working. This time it d...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

I believe (hope) that I've finally figured out the problem that's been plaguing us. We're being attacked by Singapore! They've sent over half a million requests to the server in 24 hours. There's also unusual traffic coming from China as well. As a result, all traffic from Singapore i...

If you can conquer RC10TALK, then the rest of the world is a small step from there. But they didn't realize RC10TALK has Lowgear! Ha! https://i.imgur.com/0bQAe.gif Duuuuuuude !! Seriously !?!?! Yeah, believe it or not. That was way down on my list of what it could possibly be. :? We use Goo...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

My best guess is folks in Asia noticing the reproduction parts selling scraping the forum for how to make the next profitable reproduction. That is quite possibly the scenario. I found that in 2020 I bookmarked a website with a third-party modification called the 'Singapore Slinger' that blocks the...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

Google is forcing any site that uses Adsense to display a GDPR pop-up notice to those located in the EU and UK. If you don't comply, your sites ads won't be shown in those locations thus losing the revenue. The deadline isn't until January 16th 2024 to do so but they've already resorted to bugging t...

Re: Bucky II - Garden Tractor Class Puller Build

Why do I have to become so consumed with insignificant details? :| Who in their right mind spends 4 days completely engulfed in trying to find nylon washers that precisely fit M3 screws? *raises hand* Ultimately, none exist with the specs that'll work for me. I came to the conclusion that I'd buy on...

Re: So why did the RC10 lose at the IFMAR 1987 again?

After following both topics, to me it all boils down to you win some you lose some. There doesn't seem to be a specific reason why it happened, It was a combination of factors that caused Kyosho to win. It's not like the Ultima destroyed the competition did it? As in any race, luck plays a factor. S...

Re: The Giant RPM part number thread

I added those to the list before realizing it's for RC10 specific parts only. They're still good to have regardless!

Re: What is the rarest R/C part you have

I have many rare vintage parts but here's a couple I'd like to mention. ESP Lunchzilla. Someone commissioned ESP to design them a Clodzilla type conversion kit for the Lunch Box. It's the only one ever made. I bought it from a guy in England back in 2006 I believe. I then got ESP to create a certifi...

Re: What is the rarest R/C part you have

It really is. It's also yet another project I need to revisit in a very long line of uncompleted projects. :|
