RC car museum exhibition – Norway. New go from page 4!
Sorry to say I have been nothing but a spy on RC10talk until now finally registering. Incredible forum – high quality and smack in the butter eye of my field of interests in RC – thanks to all of you! And thanks for having me! My first post on this forum will be a presentation of a new temporary (Ma...

Re: Vintage RC car museum exhibition – Norway
Some more random detail pics. The back in the day picture (1982 or 83) of the Kyosho Circuit 20 (Volvo 343 body) is depicting one of the Curcuit 20s in the exhibition. The red one on display got the 3th place at the first (noticeably bouncing) 1:8 national champs in 1982.

Re: Schumacher Timeline
This might sound odd but i have the name "Geriatric Cat" stuck in my head referring to a long wheel base version of one of the very early cat models ,i think I'd have seen it in a magazine of the period , either Radio Race Car or Model Car Monthly published in the UK, possibly a custom st...

Hot Trick Hot Shot x 2
Back in the days I had one Hot Trick car. My Tamiya Fox got a full Hot Trick conversion, resulting in a dramatic change of appearance, a debatable upgrade in driving characteristics - and confusion of threads in my screw box. Today I have several Hot Trick conversions where two are runners – a Fox a...

Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)
Thank you for posting your build. Very good both technically and aesthetically! Just got a GX delivery in my own mailbox, and this thread is an inspiration and setting a standard for my own build :D However, I want to make mine a race car, so will opt for a slightly different route regarding setup, ...

Resurrection of my late Edinger A stamp
After being dormant since the late eighties I've decided to blow life into my old A stamp. I've been thinking of doing this for years, and now I'm posting the build here in the hope it will motivate me to actually get it finished. The goal is to get it back as a runner, and get back the feel of the ...

Re: Resurrection of my old A stamp
Yes agree, silly is the right word of some of the pricing these days. Progress: overhaul of gearbox, including renovation of bearings and diff rings. New 1/8 balls and new thrust bearing. Also replacing worn white idler gears with a set of old black ones, and a set of lightly used axle drive gears/o...

Re: Resurrection of my old A stamp
Trying out bell cranks with the cut nuts as shown above, to solve the problem of the stripped threads in the nose plate. Took away some material from the bell cranks to lower the ball ends for the steering rods. Also compensated with 0,75 mm washers under the ball ends on the steering blocks, and th...

Early Edinger rebuild
It was so joyful starting the resurrection of my old A stamp (late Edinger) https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=48230, so when I got into the build, I simply had to switch to a parallel build including a early Edinger I bought last year. Probably should have finished my own late Edinge...

Re: Early Edinger rebuild
The chances are good that the brass spring retainers dates from the eighties. I've never seen anything like these and if you haven’t seen them, they might be homemade. But as you see after the cleaning the finish is pretty good. As expected, the gearbox revealed E clip drive gear pivot - put it to t...
