Just use a thumb screw and a piece of carbon... Also the Thunder Tiger Phoenix ST has a lot of interchangeable parts, like the battery strap.

You'll want to gear down for sure. You may want something like a 16 tooth with a 4300kv motor.

if you aren't really racing, just running in the yard or street, as long as you are happy with the performance, motor temps are OK and the esc isn't getting smoking hot, then it's probably good enough. on a side note anyone know the proper hardware size to attacht the rear wheels to the pan car in the background You've probably already figure this out by now but they're most likely 4-40 like the other screws in the chassis. Each wheel requires 4 of them and I think they're 3/8" long but not ...

I modified an old gold pan to use with one of the Injora transmissions. For a basher, I don't have any complaints.
