Re: What steering servos is everyone using?
I run the same Savox on any of my cars that will be run regularly. If it is going to sit on the shelf most of its life, it will probably get a Fut S148. I would have to be a paid racer before I would think about a $200+ steering servo. Looking at modern setup sheets not even all of the professional...

Re: What steering servos is everyone using?
I run usually shorty servos when I can. It's hard to justify servos over 50 bucks for me, but I do have some. I have mixed results with the trackstar ts-d99x. it's fast and cheap. but my failure rate is like 40%. when they work, they work well. when they don't they severely glitch your system. I bel...

Re: What steering servos is everyone using?
Unless you are racing or have some high load application, the 3305 is probably fine. Unless they are letting you down in some way, I'd keep using them.
Roughly half of my cars have Futaba analogs in them. The rest are various other brands, mostly analog.

Re: What steering servos is everyone using?
Usually Savox 1258tg and 1251 low profile servos in buggies, especially for racing. I used to use cheaper Trackstar TS-920 servos, good torque and speed. Pretty reliable most of the time but they would occasionally glitch. For a budget servo I usually use Blue Bird BMS-621DMG servos. Proved pretty g...

Re: Optima Re Re knuckles on a ZX-R?
They are the same dimensions but I believe they swapped the lettering L and R. I’d have to double check but I recall that from when the optima rere came out.

Re: Optima Re Re knuckles on a ZX-R?
No, rere diffs diffs larger outdrive bearings. I want to say it’s a 10x15 where original was 8x14. You can’t get a 10x14 bearing so it’s a no go

Re: Optima Re Re knuckles on a ZX-R?
That looks correct for mk2, so does the front shock tower and chassis with 6 battery slots.

Jammin J-550 Pro-SE Steering Enhancement Kit
Jammin J-550 Pro-SE Steering Enhancement Kit I have two of these kits…so I decided to open one up, install it on my Pro-SE and see what it’s all about. https://i.postimg.cc/CLRMcynn/6-F1-C2564-28-E7-4-D73-B3-EE-DBE9-D1-CA8-AB6.jpg The shock tower is the same shape as the original, slightly thicker a...

Re: Micro Speed Controllers
https://youtu.be/4O4yNY7F1SI
It appears to be.
As delivered, the esc supplies the servo power and just the signal comes from the receiver. He mentioned that the servo is low voltage.
I don't see why a normal micro servo couldn't be used, hooked to the receiver.

Re: Detroit Worlds Schumacher Cougar prototype Kevin Moore
(Proto Cougar Detroit Report part 4 final) 💪🏼😀 Well… this is it, the last report of this special build. I have to say, writing down all the details again, and trying to remember all the phases i went through really has giving this build a next level experience. Also getting the feedback during the f...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
My favourite would have to be the Tekin 411P, my first ‘real’ esc that went straight into my RC10T helping me establish dominance with the neighbourhood dogs :) Grabbed this one years ago, been sitting in a pile but perhaps it is time for me to clean it up and make an attempt to learn how to replace...

Re: Kyosho Pro X build
The wing is mounted. For now, I'm leaving the wheel decals on just one side, because I can't decide if I like them better or not.
