In fact the donor was my electric oval GT. It simply wasn't competitive without a major investment in motor and battery (read lipo) and I built it more because I like to tinker.

Here is the rear end lowered. Shocks mounted directly to the bulkhead. Stiff springs, 45 weight oil. Engine weight should give me the ride height I want, about 15mm. The final position of the pipe will require some thought depending on whether I end up with a rear or side exhaust engine. I'm mixing ...

A rear exhaust engine is going to put the header out the left side. A side exhaust could send it in the right direction, but most likely with a home made or modded header Correct. My Staten Island Rocket restoration (early JRX2)

Picked this up a while back and have worked on it a little at a time, it is an early kit with the foam core chassis, motor plate was cut so hard to prove but likely a no stamp, and it has the early non reinforced plastics. I have added the steering brace, and the diff has the Thorp metal center gear...

Well... It seems I found a better early battery holder and forgot lol. Also a tbg body and wing. Other than that... Just dust hahaha
