Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Melted hole in the roof fixed. Super Champ-esque roof section fitted. It'll look better after a polish and the rest of the body is finished.

Re: RC10 Graphite Resto

Nice collection of part for the build. The gold motor guard is a nice addition. The factory graphite is my favorite version on RC10. Thanks. I got lucky with the motor guard on Ebay probably 10 years ago. I agree, the "plate" cars are really neat. A bit of scrubbing and a peroxide soak li...

Re: RC10 Graphite Resto

More progress today hanging plastics. The 6371 universal joint axles were re-blued and look great. 20240309_135010.jpg 20240309_140659.jpg Went with a 6 hole NIP front tower as the original 4 hole was fairly beat. 20240309_130103.jpg Stealth assembled. 20240302_155719.jpg 20240302_155705.jpg Coming ...

I wonder who J.V. is. Did a good job packing the motor guard back in the day.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

Got the bearing kit, and was going to get started on the rebuild. Looking at the white plastics, I have yellowing in some places more than others. https://i.imgur.com/6jbQK0P.jpg I would like these to be shiny and fresh again. https://i.imgur.com/QjJnncq.jpg But I hear about the hydrogen peroxide p...

Re: ** Kyosho JJ Ultima Waffle **

This is the Guinness World Record for largest waffle, and I am even more disappointed in humanity than I was. I mean, 8' ??? :( Two people are moving this thing around with a cardboard roll! waffle record 1.jpg To compare, the world's largest pancake is 49' !!! This thing required cranes!!!...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

I personally have not had a problem with using 3% peroxide, this regular stuff for cuts. I would leave it in a glass jar for a day or two in the sun. None of the parts got brittle or chalky, I do however fully soak the parts in water first so that if there is any material to wick into the nylon it ...

Even though it was taken down, that's enough confirmation for me that it's eventually happening.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Behold.... and now the Blue Eagle LS-II. Already having a Blue Eagle LS and SRT, I was done with a Traxxas collection, but this was just far too good of a deal to pass up. It's simply fantastic, and at a price just over what heaping piles go for, which makes me like even more. Resized_20240521_15204...

Good way to keep people safe from the germs associated with money, is to keep the money away from the people.... and, in that respect, I have to say THEY are doing a great job.
