Re: Now people can't stop talking about the 1/12th Fantom 4wd re-re :D

First gen fantom didn’t have front springs. The more popular MKII did. Really just depends on what they copied. This car more resembles a first gen, but I suspect they will add things such as the front springs. Rear suspension was simply chassis flex as with most pan cars of the day. The chain wasn...

Re: Anyone have a Tekin 410k?

This is the least shrewd BST rules shunt I have ever seen! If so, how was it as compared to the 411 and similar Tekin models? I’m looking to get one. Where should I look? Thanks! man - if you're looking to get one, try eBay. that's your best bet. Otherwise please contribute to this forum and w...

Re: It's starting now (Apr2020)... CWF (tub) and Shiny RC10

I was able to make some progress in the past few days, but not to document it that much - trying to catch up now :) I took a (short) break from problem-solving to pick a motor for this shelfer - it had to be black and silver, these were the two that got shortlisted from the stash, a TMH stocker and ...

Re: It's starting now (Apr2020)... CWF (tub) and Shiny RC10

Shocks, some bottom loaders - nothing special, they just went through a rebuild - They have #3 pistons F/R, but again, for shelf duties, this will be ok  previously polished by the previous owner - not perfect but I don't have the gear to make it better, so it's close enough and will be discre...

Re: We're getting there (May2020)... CWF (tub) and Shiny RC10

I think the shocks look perfect as they are -- they complement the body posts. metal appearance.jpg A few minutes with some Mothers or Nevr-Dull metal polish would have made them look like mirrors but I think they look great just as they are. Less is more. It's also cool that you've found a matching...

Mid Motor Rustler Build

Click here for the latest mid motor rustler design _______________ Hi everybody! Over the past two years or so I've been having some fun with the 2wd Traxxas platform. It all started when I got burned out on racing. I took a break from racing for a while and when I got back into it I wanted to do i...

Re: We're getting there (May2020)... CWF (tub) and Shiny RC10

Thanks for all the positive comments so far :) I've had to slow down on this build due to other priorities, and also have not updated this for a few days now, but overall more progress was made. Some setbacks, too  I had kept this servo for this build. This was run on my MBX6's a few years back...

Re: We're getting there (May2020)... CWF (tub) and Shiny RC10

The chassis is stiff as hell (as losi would say!) but still needs to be braced at the front. I totally forgot I had some custom nose tubes reserved for this build, so I murdered another NIB set  The tubes are held to the tub by these funny brackets which, miraculously, I hadn't misplaced all t...

Re: We're getting there (May2020)... CWF (tub) and Shiny RC10

More NiB parts 8) https://images2.imgbox.com/ea/03/ccmgBKb6_o.jpg I have also just purchased another Worlds Car a few months ago, which was a hybrid of re-re and original parts... I will give it the neo-retro later on, and it had a perfect-looking CWF battery brace, which I stole for this build. The...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - May 2020 ** - Winner - Tudorp

Thanks guys. That sure was a nail biter.. How often can you hear that "you have a awesome willy.." ? lol.. It could have gone one of a few ways for sure. Egalsim's car is awesome, as is Trass's. I really liked those as well. Any of us could have taken the lead. But, I will pass it along to...

Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build

The home made CF really needs a thread of its own to do it justice ! Thanks Dadio! I never actually thought about that. I just see it as another step in the process. If I ever finish this project maybe I'll make a post about the CF! I got a couple more things done on the car throughout the we...

Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build

The easiest and most original way to do a comparable conversion would be to take the transmission of the nitro hawk or nitro buggy and create a custom motorplate to accommodate the electric motor. - I still haven't seen anyone else out there making a proper mid motor Traxxas conversion. Even the goo...
