Edinger Silver dot 6510??
Hey experts!! Reedy silver dot question… Part number is 6510 East Edinger address. I picked this guy up off of eBay with a best offer grab with my Jay Halsey kit as its intended resting spot. The motor looks as it was described, new. I was disappointed not to find any labeling at all on the com stac...

10L project’S
Added a second project to the post! Hey guys, got my racing roots from racing onroad cars in a big parking lot club back in the 80s and 90s. While the 10L wasn’t my first pan car (Bolink Eliminator “sport” earned that spot ;) the 10L came a few years after and after all these years it’s the only of ...

Re: 10L project
Thanks Marty! I’ve actually been around quite a while, but only recently began being active again. The more I’m here the more I keep coming back though! So here’s the completed car minus a body, the Novak 4 was on the bench when I was picking stuff to use, not 100% period correct, but neither are th...

Re: 10L project’S
The body is in excellent shape, I thought it was going to be a throw away. With a wing it’ll look pretty good. Not sure what model it is though.

Cox/Kyosho speed controls
I had been hunting for a period correct speed controller for my og tomahawk, and opened my email this morning to find an alert on eBay for this bundle. Looks like I could assemble 3 out of the lot with some battery and motor leads. Right under $21 to the door!

Re: Cox/Kyosho speed controls
Got it in, still waiting on some 16ga wire to finish the motor side, and I’m seeing (thanks to juicedcoupe!) that the servo plate is attached upside down. When I got this car years ago it was partially assembled in a box, and no instructions , so that link is awesome! I may print a copy just for a k...

Re: Cox/Kyosho speed controls
Done and tested, I thought by flipping the plate I’d gain a little room, but after some eyeballing I decided there was no benefit to flipping it back. So back to the cabinet it will go

Re: Cox/Kyosho speed controls
Thanks sir! Lol after I took it out of the Halsey it’s just been sitting in its tube on my work bench. It’s too pretty not to display in something. The Tomahawk is my crown jewel, so the 240 is perfect for it.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 4:05 pm That's a nice motor sitting in the back of that buggy. Very cool buggy!

Re: 10L project’S
On my original car I put new body mounts, added the black g10 bumper, transferred all the other cf parts to it, updated the servo from an Amazon special to a Savox and the esc from the old Novak 4 to an LRP with no motor limit. Nothing like I would have ever raced, but if I can find a smooth lot it ...
