So the attraction is primarily (i) in the fact that you're going hell-for-leather (i.e. at higher speeds than you could achieve on non-oval tracks) and (ii) that there's a bit of argy-bargy between the cars/drivers? I can see that...., although still nice to have some undulating bending roads to throw your car around (like we have here in the UK ). Different type of driving though, and I can appreciate the merits to both if my understanding of oval racing is correct.
