Just a quickie, I couldn't find the answer doing a search. Are the vintage 3 spoke wheels dyeable?

(what's the chances someone else searches and finds the answe straight away!!)

So I picked up some wheels for my JRX-T project off Ebay, a full set of each orange and wild red. I could tell from the pics they were pretty beat up, but I think they will clean up good enough for a runner. They are however more faded than I was...

I did some using RIT dye. They turned out great. No other additives. What the...................the great white ghost was here :lol:

Ok so i've dyed white parts black using the Rit powder with good results.... (apart from messing up my camping stove lol!)

Thing is, in my quest to find a set of the pink ribbed face Yokomo wheels i've ended up with a nice new set of white wheels...

I will have to look through my images, I have a documentary that I did while mixing dye to get that Yokomo pink on some AE C.E. rims- I got it within 5% if you ask me and it was a combination of Rit Fushia and Tangerine Orange- it was the only way...

I just got my pile of RC 10 parts yesterday.
It is much better shape then I thought it would be. I still think I will dye the parts black.

Has anyone had experience dying the the Jconcepts mono wheels?

My son is interested in black wheel for his car. Would the yellow plastic dye black better or white? Would RIT dye work or is there a better option?

Just got a RC10 with H/T chassis, want to dye the white parts. When dyeing from white to red do you guys soak over night? Or boil them? If boiling, how hot and for how long? Not sure if I'm askingin the right section, thank you.

If you have to do more then 1 batch of parts or more parts later on I time how long they are boiling for wsith a stop watch to achieve the same results all the time.
