It looks to me to be a straight up Pro-X. I don't doubt the pre-production claim as it has black arms, and they don't look to be dyed. I can't see anything else on there that looks out of the ordinary. Cool none the less.

I wonder why they chose to mass produce these with white arms?

One thing I noticed about this car is the tightness of the suspension components. I have no doubt the car would have handled better if you could get everything (steering included) to free up a little. Lots of hand fitting. It would have been no fun to build this car to race BITD.
