I don't think so. As far as I remember he just built a new chassis plate and turned the gearbox around. But I'm not sure about that because that was more than 20 years ago.

i painted this a few years ago, it was a custom for someone that fell through ,so ive hung onto it ,so i thought id share

I bought my first JRX2 from Ranch Pit Shop they day they released them. I havent ever seen a 4 spoke wheel or different (factory) body. I too wish I had kept that plain white box with the red logo on it.

Got this optima a few years ago.. It was just sitting inside the cabinet neglected.. It was part of a deal with a nice Avante.
Started to clean it a while ago. Might need quite a few parts to restore it.

Yes, all the rear drive Optimas originally came with a chain. The belt was a Kyosho Option House hop-up; it's a nice one to have. :D

Thats great! I was wondering why it was quiet when i was spinning the wheel around nothing to do.. Lol... :D

This was my first 1/8 on-road car that I bought out of the Recycler back in 1983-84 for about $50. It was old back then and I did not respect it, used it as a street basher and apparently did not believe in cleaning it :roll:
