In 1995 HPI released their first 1/10th 235mm pan car what was called Roadstar RS10G. The same year I bought my RS10G and raced this car until about 1998. Currently this is my oldest car as I sold all of my older cars before. It´s the car on the pictures and that´s the current state. There are some parts missing and some other parts are not from the original kit state.
I still have the instructions and original box.
Right from the kit there was a different chassis brace used with a much narrower position for the rear body posts.
A friend and me were at the 1/10th pan car worldchampionships 1996 at Ontario/CA what was the Revelation racetrack and there I got some prototype parts for the car. The wide chassis brace on the picture was one of these parts as a different centershock, different upper pod plate and one long side tube for replacing the RC10L type friction damper.
Afterwards we always used the wide chassis brace but switched between side tube and friction damper depending on track conditions. This always needed switching centershock and pod plate also.
As I hated using tape for the batteries I made some battery retaining system as in the picture.
Beside cleaning and using the WC prototype parts I think I also will remove the battery retaining system. Then I have to look for the missing parts as the original HPI body posts, rear axle hubs and spacers. The rear axle is the same as the one from the RC10L and RC10LS so should no problem but also some other brands will work.
