Antenna Mounting on Cliff's RC10ST?

Post by slotcarrod »

Can anyone tell me where Cliff Lett mounted the antenna on the back of his truck, and how? http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=172

Obviously, it appears to have been removed for the RCCA article, but I'd guess he used a standard antenna mount, attached to the graphite transmission brace (using the hole below the #11 in the RCCA top view). His antenna tube appears to be centered in that general region in the small action pics.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. I sure would like to see a picture with it, just to make my truck correct! I just would love to know where it was mounted and with what?

cliff liked to ziptie the antenna tube to his rear shock towers. i've seen it on some of his buggies, and this one is no different.

using a pic from your build......

the pic i have of his truck (which i'm unable to post since i don't have software to snag a shot from a video), it looks like he added 3 holes to the shock tower, and used 2 white zipties to attach a hot pink or neon red tube on the right side (when on the truck), tube on front side of tower.

that's how it looks to me......
