Hello from a T2 newbie
Hello from a T2 newbie
Glad to find this site. I'm really green at all this but very interested. I got Lucky and my cool neighbor gave me this RC 6 months ago. He said this was his first RC and now he has moved on to a huge gas 4x4 and others. I wasnt into at the time but I've been racing a friend of mine with his RC lately. So I did some checking around and now I find out I got this cool Associated T2. I thought it was just some off brand RC. My neighbor came around a little after he gave it too me. And dropped off the remote, batteries, spare tires, charger and a tool box kit with all kinds of stuff I've never seen before. Now I found this forum and understand this is a really good RC to have gotten. I 'll be working on it slowly and learning. Although it is pretty fast already...

Re: Hello from a T2 newbie
That's not a T2, it's an RC10T. The chassis tub is much slimmer on the T2. It's apparently got a T4 battery strap as well.
Welcome aboard!

Hi Lucky, welcome to the site! Temple is right though, what you have is a RC10T, not a T2. It still looks like a very solid truck. It is easier to find parts for the 10T than it is for a T2, so in a way, you are even luckier

Old school racing all the way!
Re: Hello from a T2 newbie
welcome to the site. carloco is right the 10T which is older is easier to find parts for. That's cool you got it for free.

Re: Hello from a T2 newbie
Thanks everybody. I really appreciate telling me its an RC10T. I want to mod it some how, but I dont know where to start. It's working just fine taking some cool jumps and no breaking yet. My buddy has been working on his so much from breakage. Maybe I'll start with wheels and tires. Does that mean I should change my user name ?? I think I might keep it.

I agree. They pop up on ebay from time to time. Just make sure its mostly complete. You can add your own electronics and motor so don't worry about that so much.
