Re: A&L ultima build
You gotta do something about that body Darrell, either hack the back end off or get an RC10 body to hack up. It kind of looks like a cancerous grasshopper with a huge tumor on it's back right now
The build itself is really awesome though, I love the trailing arm stuff!

Re: A&L ultima build
I hear you adam . It needs to sit a good 3/4 inch lower in the rear. I already hacked one rc10 body to fit a pro xl I have. didnt much like how it turned out.its a weird mount as its so high. then the side skirts of the body need to be really long in order for it to work properly. ah well its a shell none the less and as for paint , I rarely paint my rides as i cant paint for crap. most of my cars have clear decaled body's with the exception of one JG mid body I painted .turned out OK but it was just one color i was painting with.
Maybe i should just drill two holes into the rear shock tower and lower the body mount? then the shell will sit below the chassis 1/4 inch, but its just a shelfer.

Why not use the MRL-010 Parma Eagle Body from Mrlexan that looks like it would fit pretty nicely? By the way the ultima is Looking very nice

Re: A&L ultima build
It does kinda look like a bug, but I like it. The problem is the giant A&L shock tower. The rear body mount should be lower on the front of the tower. For my RC10, I had to create a custom mount to get it to look right.

Re: A&L ultima build
ok . so I drilled two holes 1/4 inch lower into the rear tower and loosened the rear body mount hole. also cut the wing wire a little bit more. I find it sits at least 1/2 inch lower now. not to too bad lol

so now its like a grasshopper that quit steroids recently LMAO!!

Re: A&L ultima build
Really nice build Darrell. Any updates on this one mate?
I'm a big fan of the A&L gear and would like to do an Ultima aswell. Loving those T&A rims. It sure makes me regret selling on my RC10 A&L car. I had blue T&A rims on mine.

I'm sure this looks awesome but I cannot see the pictures. The preview snaps are tiny. If I click on the pics all I see is a deodorant advert. ImageShack sucks! Try flickr
