I've never seen a Lexan version for the T2.

I rmember seeing a lexan undertray for the rc10 and T but never the T2.

BTW does ANYONE know a good way to get that sticker crap off of chassis? I have some really great chassis (including a CC Worlds) that have that crap stuck to the bottom.

lighter fluid (like what goes in a zippo, not the stuff you put on your kingsford briquettes)

Goof-Off...

Soak a rag in it, place on chassis in a sealed bag overnight. Wipe clean the next day with another rag soaked in Goof-Off. Finish up with lighter fluid or "panel-wipe". This was on a chassis that had the protective sheet already peeled off.

The adhesive on that stuff is a bitch. On another chassis I tried the freeze spray first, the sheet came right off...and left the adhesive behind. Another I did with a heat gun, that worked pretty good, minimal adhesive residue.

I used to do pinball playfield repair, they use a similar item to protect high wear areas but over screened printing. The freeze spray, patience, lighter fluid, and then Novus was the ticket there to keep the graphics intact.

I don't miss that.

so then if it's not made then where can I find a lexan peice to make one. I don't have a way to form it so I guess I have to just trace a peice just for the bottom.

Why not use the stick-on stuff? It does do a good job. Actually probably better than a lexan shield, dirt and such won't get trapped between the lexan and chassis and make abrasive wear...

OK, what are you trying to accomplish?

The protective film is pretty heavy-duty and will put up with a fair amount of abuse. Motocrossers use it, they call it roost guard. It won't look any worse than scarred up lexan. Yes, it will peel after a fair amount of abuse.

I have just painted a chasis and I was trying to protect it from getting all scratched up while its a runner I know it will happen but I thought I'd try to prolong the paint. I want the paint to be able to be seen, It's a weird color purple and took me forever to get it right.

Id say that nothing makes a better mold for vacuforming then a chassis... talk about free mold making!
