It seems to have been because of the tapatalk. Bill uninstalled and we haven't had a problem since.

If I wanted to fabricate my own carbon fiber deck or shock mounts, what thickness of carbon fiber sheet would be adequate?

I would use heavier thickness for shock towers.....so at least 2.4mm, but preferably 3mm or 1/8th inch. they are exposed more to damage, sticking up above the body, and are also narrow compared to a chassis. Carbon is also kind of brittle, so...

I would bet that if you put the CF parts in peroxide for a few days, it would remove the yellowing like with white plastic parts. I would of course use a test piece first just to be sure. -Jeff

Tamiya Smoke 2-3 coats
Ductape Brand Carpet Tape
back it with silver paint or silver vinyl
