Getting real close. I just need to pickup a female plug to solder onto the battery lead, and a few other odds and ends. I ran the servo and esc leads through the battery holder, and the chassis is real clean.

I pulled the trigger on some sweet vintage Titanium dogbones that should be coming soon.

I also ordered some wheels and Associated tires. I may eventually get some vintage wheels/rubber, but for now I want something I can run on.

Also, I am still looking for someone who can Box Paint a body for me. Please let me know who would be good at that. Thanks!

If your still looking for a body you can consider this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Painted-body-Team-Associated-RC10T-box-art-Vintage-/231664658452?hash=item35f04a2814 The guy looks like he does really good work.

When you factor in the cost of the body and tracking down the decals that price on the body really isn't bad.

Hi Guys,

I like that body shell and would have bought one myself if there wasn't such a glaringly obvious fault.

Cheers, Dave. :)

The stickers aren't 100% correct and the grill/headlights arent painted on but its still a good looking body for the price IMO

I ordered a body from him, and am hoping he fixes the front issue. The body is the last piece of the puzzle. I drove it in my driveway and it was a blast. WAAAAY faster than it ever was when I was a kid. Amazing the difference with modern electronics, even using this very inexpensive setup. Since it will not be run much, I didn't feel I had to get top line electronics.

I splurged on some new vintage Titanium dogbones. They are shown on the left in the photo, versus the stock polished on the right.

Should have the painted body by the end of the week. Can't wait to get it completed.

Thanks all. My goal for this rebuild was to try and keep as much of my original truck as I could, while upgrading it and modernizing the electronics. I kept all the original stickers on the chassis that I stuck there nearly 20 years ago. I even kept part of the original green antenna tube that I thought was so cool, years ago.

I do wish I had whitened the white pieces while I had it apart. It would have looked real sharp with crisp white all over. I guess that will have to be the next rebuild.

Question: I have been on this forum for nearly a month. I really want to get access to the For Sale section of the forum. Once I have met 30 days, I need to send a request to a moderator via eBay?? I do not understand this part. Can someone please let me know how I do that, or give me a link to one of these moderators via eBay? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it. I whitened all of mine, and they discolored again before I even got it back together.

^ That makes me feel a little better, lol

Sorry to keep posting on this thread, but I just found these old photos of this RC10T when it was just put together. I was about 12 years old. I wish I still had those original tires, and who knows where the original wheels went. Not sure what I was thinking with the green HPI wheels.

My painted body arrived in the mail today. I am pretty disappointed. I was real clear with the painter that I was looking for an exact replica of the Box Art. Well, the paint job is good, but the lines on the front are very different, and there are some pretty large mistakes in the paint (oversprays, cuts, poor trim lines on the back, and pretty crappy decal placement. At first glance it looks great, but once you really look, there are a lot of mistakes.

I don't know if I will keep it or not. I may just call it good enough, but as of right now, the mistakes really bug me. Enjoy the final pictures!

If the paint is decent enough, maybe this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Associated-RC10T-7195-Decal-Sheet-for-6122-Body-Vintage-RC-Part-/301728623178?hash=item46406d6a4a will help. Its an NOS RC10T decal sheet still sealed in the plastic.
