Kyosho tf-2 suspension and links upgrade help

Post by Superev1l »

Well as i posted before i picked up an immaculate tf-2. The problem is that i think i picked up the cheapest version of the kit possible. I finally got the speed i want (novak duster+trinity 12t speed gem),but i noticed the suspension is horrible. SO i took the shocks off thinking they had leaked all the fluid from sitting, only to find out they are not oil filled shocks, just cheapo plastic bodies with springs. Can you guys recommend a good suspension replacement? Maybe shocks from another model or aftermarket? I dont need anything fancy at all just not horrible. I am also wanting to replace the steering and camber rods to adjustable, but in that case it looks like i can just buy the parts for the tf3. Heres a quick pic. Original wheels arent shown.

Most touring shocks should fit, any brand. However, I would suggest trying to find some kyosho shocks, from any older model touring car. Those will likely have the correct ball ends to make installation easier. In a pinch though, Tamiya, kose, possibly even Losi or AE should fit,, but its easier to stay with Kyosho.

You might even find turn buckle links in the correct lengths from aftermarket sources that are made for tf2 tf3 tf4, and any of those should mostly fit. I would suggest getting new ball ends as well.
