Anybody got a grease gun they like and would recommend? I need one for chassis lubes on my vehicles and the random odd thing that might have a grease zerk on it, so not heavy use, but I still want something that isn't a piece of garbage.
What brand do you have?
Is it a pistol grip or lever actuated?
Does it use cartridges or do you have to fill the barrel yourself?

Re: Grease Gun
I wouldn't recommend anything from Harbor Freight. I had a no-name lever/cartridge type that worked great for maybe 20 years but it finally went kaput so I bought a cheapo from HF and it worked one time (it spat the check ball). Now I have a Lincoln from O-Reilly auto parts and it's worked great so far (about 8 months). It's light and compact - I like it! Overall quality seems much better than HF.

Re: Grease Gun
Yeah, I'm not a fan of HF stuff, while it can be appropriate in certain circumstances, I don't buy there very often.
Leakage or breaking seem to be the two biggest problems with all the cheap guns, no matter what brand. They seem to range in price from about $15 to $40 for a manual pump style gun, so it isn't worth trying to save a couple bucks if it isn't going to hold up.
