Re: Ruf's Room
I forgot to post that this picture was taken by someone last year around the end of 2010, at a Port St. Lucie indoor track called Treasure Coast Speedway which closed some time back. The body in the middle is the same one I ran at the 1993 IFMAR Worlds in England.
I still have this body and its' back-up body (identical paint schemes) from that race. I never had used that particular paint scheme prior to that race or after that race. It was a scheme I wanted only for that huge race event over in Basildon, England.
The number #10 decal on it is from the BRCA Club that hosted the event.

Re: Ruf's Room
Some ancient articles Jirka discovered:
1992 Gas Off-Road Championships
1993 Gas Off-Road Championships
Thank-you!

I'm still racing, currently leading the Short Course Kings points series races in both Pro 2 SuperStock (13.5 motors) and the Pro 2 Modified categories towards prize money awards, with a borrowed AE SC10 truck from the Harris Garage, Thank-you!
Weekend racing I have been doing pretty well lately with a string of TQ's and 1st places on the same days, in 2WD Modified and Short Course Modified Classes. I think the rust from not racing for 14 years has been polished off...I HOPE!
They started a MASTERS CLASS for the over 40 crowd at our local indoor track, but they still won't let me run with them, even at 48 years old!

Re: Ruf's Room
I won the two class categories in the Short Course King's and pocketed quite a purse of cash in the process, and promptly returned the SCT truck back to the Harris Garage in perfect shape, finding out that I do not like Short Course Trucks at all from the 5 race series experience.
I am slowly working on another vintage RC10, that I will hopefully post a build for and share pictures here in my gallery of for you all.
Stay tuned and thank-you to all of those for the kind comments, pm's and emails I've received! In July of this year I will be meeting up here in Fla. with some old vintage racers that I raced with back in the 80's that remembered me and contacted me through these forums.
best regards to all!

Re: Ruf's Room
Mike Reedy's signature along with other Factory Team Drivers from Associated on a fans body.
Pic was just recently sent to me with my sig on there as well as Jay's.
Nice find!

Re: Ruf's Room
I just recently rebuilt my old B2 and even managed to find the old body, wing and electronics she used to sport in a separate box.
I then located one of the old Reedy race 6-cell black Nicad packs and tested it charging and discharging it a few times while monitoring the voltage, and the battery still takes a full charge with no venting!

Re: Ruf's Room
Added a Late RC10 Graphite Team Car to the collection, built with spare parts I already had. I decided to make this a blacked out version, with graphite towers and transmission brace to boot. Used black springs as well
. I wasn't trying to make it look like the original out of the box version as that would have been too easy to do.

Re: Ruf's Room
I just realized I never posted pictures of my RC10B3 before.
I just recently built up another B3 from spares (shown with the green, white and black body), as well as the old B2 I show in this gallery earlier.

Re: Ruf's Room
The last few days, I made a decision to put back together by older but more current cars, like the B4, B5's and B6 which were in various stages of disarray.
Here is my AE RC10 B4.2 Buggy:
