Another Passion I Thought I Would Share

Post by mrlexan »

Hey guys, Not sure if this is the correct place in the forum or if you even care, but feeling like a part of a family here (a tear rolls down my eye) , I figured I would share another passion of mine with all of you, Photography. This is from this past weekend:

http://www.imagesofmotorsport.com/naias07.html

or the main site:

http://www.imagesofmotorsport.com/

I really don't keep it updated these days, too much work, too little return. I update it when I can, spotty at best. Although, there are no galleries to view, what I really love to shoot is Motorsports. Too much BS and too much of a cut throat business for me. Too bad the business is that way, I did/do it cause I love it, not to put food on my table (which I guess is part of the problem depending on who you ask).

Anyways, Enjoy and thanks for taking the time to look!

Jay

Yeah, GM tried to be a little too futuristically creative on the new camaro. The grill don't bling and the butt looks like crap LOL! The Mustang has a nice mix of that vintage and modern touch while the new challenger is straight up old skool.

nice pics Jay, I particularly like this chassis

 http://www.imagesofmotorsport.com/images/naias07-003.JPG

but my heart definitely goes for this one :D , what's the brand of that last one :?: it almost look like a controlled model directly coming from the '80s, maybe Parma got in the 1:1 cars?

Yeah, that was probably one of the best chassis in the show, although there was tons of competition..... the good thing is that the wife did not care that I was checking out all those chassis. She was just tickled that she got to meet Laird Hamilton (Mr. Big Wave Surfer.... the one pic I think in the first gallery). Gabrielle Reese was looking pretty darn good too (his wife, holding the kid on the right).

The Rod looking car was in the GM display. It had a Holden badge on it, not sure what the deal was there. Kinda looked like one of the old ZZ Top Hot Rods if you ask me.

I was drueling over the Porsche GT3 for about a half an hour.... NOW THAT IS A CAR!!!!!! Have always loved 'em. When I win the lottery, that is the first thing I am gonna buy (and one for Hoopty too).

Thanks for the complements guys.

Great shots Jay, I took over 200 photos on Thursday during the supplier day almost two weeks ago, but it looks like you took pics when nobody was there. When did you go?

Yes you are special, I wont argue there.... I was supposed to go on Wednesday for the Autoweek Design forum but at th last minute I got "bumped' from the short list cause someone else at the corporate office wanted to go. Tickets were almost 400bucks each for that Autoweek gig). guess I wasn't special enough, lol
