Anyone interested in repro's of the SWB CAT shell? I've been asked a few times about reproductions but after the pain and 2 year wait Jeroen went through, I'd have to find someone other than Kamtec to do it.
I gave up trying to find a SWB chassis plate, let alone the shell and undertray
The rumor over at Tamiya Club was that the molds were intentionally destroyed.

I think it's unlikely you'll ever find another new shell, that got to be one of the rarest finds ever!!
Hmmmm...
Nothing 100% definite yet, but things are looking up for all CAT owners looking for bodies, undertrays, wings and belt covers.

I want to finish my SWB car but can't face cutting out the shell & spraying it without knowing I could get replacements. I'd hate myself if I cocked it up.....
I would be interested in a couple off sets.
Maybe you could inform at Anthony in australia.
I sent him my Topcat Shell a couple off years ago , and got it back in three weeks.
You could ask jason (bormac) if he wants to contact him , if he is interested.
I also sent some scans from my Topcat decals to Willy Chang to make repros off.
Yes I do and if anyone knows it should be me Wanadoo or Orange as its now called pulled all ftp controlled websites off their servers, which included my site Still got the Worlds video http://www.smithoxon.freeserve.co.uk/Movies/worldshigh.wmv What on my site were you after??

Wasn't exactly Jimbos fault though !
+ I got one from that run, Woo Hoo
Thanks for sticking up for me Stu I m sure Terry just worded it wrong, I hope
Terry's right though, I had Robin make me ten XLS body and undertray moulds back in July 03. After we had sorted out a price etc he phoned me back a couple of days later to say that the undertray tool had split through the spoiler (something to do with wood and metal ) and he stopped the run at 8!.
Schumacher still got the XLS mould , in 2006 NeilD had a rerun made off 20 shells.
Only the driver was missing.
After that there were no shells made.
I still got a couple shells from that rerun.
I remember that top pic, from I believe TC...... I asked about it after I saw it posted and whomever it was told me that the mold was destroyed after that run. That is what I was told and be no means is a verified fact. I think we have discussed it before and I can't remember the latest info, if there was any.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike. www.gojammedia.com
I still think they got the mould.
I know that the cougar 2000 is broken.
Because i had a rerun made of this shell , i ordered 30 .
I only got 22 , because it broke.

As I said the wing broke, not the body thats why Neil managed to get some re runs of the body. My first set didnt have the drivers either so I would say the driver part had allready broken. Try getting the undertray and wing tho
Can anyone tell me whether the parts for the Schumacher Cat, Cat XL and Cat XLS are the same? Also, there appear to be various parts listed on EBAY with part numbers beginning with U. Does anyone know whether I can locate a list which sets out which...

Obvioulsy, that's an open invitation to anyone who can help me out with getting hold of NIP parts or a NIB kit.....
This one will take a little while since I'm lacking quite a lot of parts. Starting off with a bunch of parts I have left from all of these rere kits I've been throwing together.
So this one is going to be a modernized replica of Masami's car that...

It's interesting that the Masami 1993 car looks like a trimmed and tweaked production car and the earlier 1989 and 1991 are basically specialty prototypes.
The trick item for the 93 Worlds seems to have been the milled tub. Some guys had them,...
Anyone have any history on Masami and his choice to run 4WD with Schumacher (for what looks like one year), then go (permeantly) to Yokomo? I would be interested in the education.
I would assume that because of the Associated/Yokomo relationdhip...

Yes, there were a couple of prototypes running. They were driven by Gil Losi Jr who didn't do too well and by Jay Halsey who got it into the A final.
I assumed Masami's CAT would be the holiest of holies within Schumacher. On the contrary, the current crew seems to know very little about it. I guess that is racing: if it isn't winning races now, it is just an old car.
The video is still good to...

If the Eclipse isn't vintage enough to garner your interest, you may still want to watch that video. It has a brief examination of the vintage Schumacher 1/12 scale racer with the folded Lexan chassis. :D
Spent ages sorting our these decals as couldn't get them anywhere so thanks to J1mbo and Terry for helping me get them produced.
It isn't perfect (my lack of painting skill) but I think it looks quite good :)
Enjoy the pics guys. Some were...

Finally got the issue with your car in dan,was quite a lucky find actually as we don't usually see that mag over here.I found it buried at a non local newsagent
I was trying to look up what servo was used on Masami’s original winning CAT XL but can’t seem to find any info. I‘m assuming it was a KO Propo. I know what he used for the other electronics, but not the servo. Would anyone happen to know what model...

My first memory of Masami was at one of our club races hearing one of the guys talk about this Japanese kid who just won the Worlds. He couldn't recall his name but he spoke about how the kid races using a stick radio and is so talented he can drive...
Just some quick, probably easy questions...
1. Where is the new CAT XLS Masami kit manufactured? China?
2. Does anyone know what exact driver figure was used in the box art pic of the original car? It's even got steering wheel+hands.
cheers guys.

I just wanted to follow up my original question also, with this. I contacted Schumacher some time after I posted this thread, to ask where the CAT XLS Masami was manufactured. The answer?
Thank you for your E-Mail.
Our kits are still designed and...
