601X series RC10 front tires - there seems to be 2 versions

There are sets that have a very rounded tread profile and are quite narrow. And there are sets that have 3 or 4 ribs and have a square, wider profile.

I have several kits, all were MIB (until I opened and built some of them), and all but one kit came with the ribbed tires. The kit that seems like the oldest had the round profile tires. And the box is different too, no sticker on the end; it is ink printed directly on the cardboard.

I have pics if you have no clue WTF I am talking about

Anyone got the scoop on this?

yep it seems the older versions had some different parts, the mainly spotted until recently being : white diamond wing buttons, clear graphite battery holders, rounded front tires (I am not sure, but I think they released 3 different kinds of them...) and some slight differences on the box. I am sure some people here could tell us more about that
