My "very late" RC10 CE
Re: My "very late" RC10 CE
Well I purchased a "Radiolink R4EH-G Gyro Inside Receiver For RC4G Transmitter" from Bangood so I could just use that while sorting out broken cased one from HobbyKing.
Well I just found out HK is sending out an entire set- Rx and Tx as a replacement just because of that broken case. I was going to try to CA it anyways... So now I'll have 3 gyro Rxs and 2 Txs (with gyros), and still got the Associated one too.. Guess I need to build another RC10 to put an extra Rx in..

I probably will eventually. I may wait till I actually have some ok weather to run the car though.

Have been doing some work on the 'ole RC10 the past few days.. Has been nice weather but pretty windy, so I haven't been flying my planes past several days, so I figured I'd start working on the RC10 again.
Got a TRAXXAS waterproof Rx box that bolted right in! Works great, but had to move antenna and cut a new antenna hole, No big deal.. but she's totally waterproof now which is cool. Gyro works great too. Now just need to replace the rear hubs and build the new upgraded shocks, and paint the body.

Already fixed camber link with more solid ball cup..
waterproof Rx box that bolts right up!

And I am going to solder on an XT60 connector to this batt and try it out..

Yeah I think it is fast as hell. It doesn't come across on video though, in real life it is impressive, anda little scary. I wouldn't want to hit anything or anyone, or myself when it is trucking along at full speed.broodenburg wrote:Nice stuff! quick to! How are the tires holding up?
Tires holding up pretty good so far! They are wrapped with duck tape though, and balanced, which probably helps. I am sure they will wear down soon though, I am beating the living **** out of them! LOL.. On rocks/ gravel, and pavement. Great tires though, will buy more, they seem to work great on all surfaces which is impressive.. Actually I already have another set, but will buy more than that.
Got gyro working better (correctly) with a mix.

Re: My "very late" RC10 CE
Really nice project.
I liked the green bumper in combination with the green body.
What 5 spoke wheels are those? Since the HPI super stars (my favorite) have become rare and expensive, I am looking for alternatives.
Thanks, Tony
