Re: Another Scale Racing Truck
Not mine!
The banner on AE's site for the SC8 has been updated with the pic that Keith found. The trend seems to be an update per week????? Maybe release dates or off body pics next week? There isn't any scuttle-butt on the AE forum either, but generally it seems insiders don't post on company forums. I know the banned us at Roush from doing so.
I am excited. I thought the Slash was cool, but this one looks over the top!

Re: Another Scale Racing Truck
More and more it seems people are speculating it will be nitro.
I hope it's not too expensive because I'll be getting one and converting it to brushless if it is nitro.

Re: Another Scale Racing Truck
Exactly what I was thinking Keith. I am not much for Nitro myself and I would expect it to be, since the announcement of the Nitro version from Traxxas.call-911 wrote:More and more it seems people are speculating it will be nitro.

There's an e-version of the Xtreme R/C magazine ad where this one came from. My initial one was someone's scan.mrlexan wrote:

Re: Another Scale Racing Truck
I thought I read somewhere that it might be nearer a grand which would put me right behind the controller of a Slash. By the way what's the best color combination for the Slash I think they have 4 color options and one of the four was suppose to be pretty good looking just can't remember what it was?

Al, they have the following:
Red
Red/Silver
Blue
Blue/Silver
Silver
The color you get is designated by the frequency you request when ordering.

Re: Another Scale Racing Truck
Depending on how well the stock CORR-style tires work (on your track) I would guess an 1/8 scale 4wd nitro version would spank the Slash. I just got home from the track and the Slash class TQ was 9 laps (5 minute races) and 1/10 mod stadium TQ's at 10 laps. 1/8 scale buggy was 11 laps and I'm guessing the SC8 will be more in that league. I think the AE truck will be competing against the Slayers (Revo-based).
Just my thoughts.

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Re: Another Scale Racing Truck
We need more 1/10 Electric trucks not 8th Nitro. they are just to expensive all the way around. we are starting a core truck class at out track it looks like a lot of fun. so I guess it will be all Slashes
