I'd be all over it my friend. The good thing, I believe I've got two AE 917s, one to keep and one to donate for repro. I always liked the Parma version, as it is the earlier 917 (the Follmer version, not the Donahue version).
Follmer 917-10 and Donahue's 917-30. Was Follmer's sponsor RC-Cola or was that later drivers in subsequent years, I know the 917-30 Dohahue Turbo Panzer was Sunoco sponsored when he won the championship. Whatever version these are the ultimate in Can Am 8th scale bodies including the McLaren Mk8a and a couple of others. I hate to say it but the Elfin which is going for pretty good bucks is just ok, just doesn't do anything for me certainly would not pay $100 for that body, hopefully none of us will have to pay anywhere near that if we canget this figured out.

The L&M sponsored 10 was the one that I was thinking of. I didn't think of the RC cola, til you mentioned it. I agree on the Elfin, doesn't do much for me as well. I think it is desirable as it seemed that was the TOJ of the 8th scene.

And, oh yeah, no one will have to pay $100 for a body once I get to that part of my list. I should really try to inventory my 8th stash. I should mention Find me a 934 or the 69 Boss 302 body and I will give you a big fat kiss!

Pffffffttt! If you guys don't know it by now, anytime someone posts any regarding lexan, it just gets me fired up and excited. Nothing more.

Glad to know that you think of me as a "vulture" Bill.

If any has the opportunity pick up this one, Pit Stop..... any 1/8th scale collector should own this rag, it is by far the coolest mag I have ever seen. Note the date on the cover. It's not just 1:1, about 20% 1:1 and 80% 1:8. The other has some great pics of Gene with both 8th and 12th..... Great stuff.

Al, you're getting me motivated to pull out my RC1 instructions, Delta Catalog and 79 Roar rule book. I need to make time to post those, been meaning too.

Go figure, notice the story on the cover of the Pit Stop Mag above and it was in someones basement a few miles from you. Hey anyone remember the name of the Indy car Mario is seen in on the cover, back then they were going to become the next biggest , greatest constructor (they built cars from Formula Vee on up to Indy cars) and then dissapeared in a couple of years? And the envelope please, McNamara.

Thanks to Jay's suggestion I picked up a copy of Pit Stop Magazine from March 1971 and in it there is a story about building up the RC1 and just happened to notice the picture of the car with the body on, anyway what do you guys think? Not for certain but it is close
