Hey Darryn did you try the rear shock option on your CAT SX? What about the longer links options (F&R)?...your thoughts please :)

Uzzi: Yep, I ran the longer links from the get go - thought they were great. Made the car feel alot less choppy in the rear in particular.

I was in two minds with the shock set up to be honest, I actually preferred the standard set up - for me the car was a little more "driftable" in standard form. The Shock mod made the car a little "fluffy" to drive (dulled the response a bit). That being said - I only ever drove a friends car with the conversion - as I never fitted the set up to mine. It weas not long after the mod came out that I decided that I should run the B44 until the Durango came out. My decision was justified - as I won a major meeting here first time out withthe B44. The C.A.T is an awesome car - just very hard to get the 10/10ths out of. Its very much on the "razors edge" at 10/10th - you certainly have to concentrate very hard.

The Rango is by far the easiest car to drive at 10/10th I have ever experienced. I am genuinely not saying that because I am a team driver either!

Cheers

Darryn

Thats the problem though with these "ästro turf" turf tracks - all cars look alot faster than they are on a proper dirt/clay surface. I reckon you could make an original cougar perform well on a surface like that.

NOT having a go at all - I am SURE that the Cougar SV is going to be a competitive animal, however I reckon it will be "quirky" like every other car they have released since they started making cars. There is nothing wrong with that at all, just that you really have to be a person interested in setting cars up to get the best out of a Schumacher - they sure are not set and forget like a B4 for example. (Taht is a very large generalisation though!) Luckily - I am one of those people that constantly make adjustments until things are just right......I can still see me owning one - maybe...perhaps.....arrrgggggg - probably!

Cheers

Thanks for the feedback Darryn....will also definately look into Rango, very nice piece of engineering. Gonna give the 1/8 nitros abit of a break for now.

The new Cougar sure looks good on the vid....... just jumps a bit nose heavy.

Seriously, The Rango is an awesome bit of kit - when you have it built up - you just say "yeah - it was lot of money .....but DAMMMMMNNNNn its SEXY!!" Then you drive it and the thoughts of cost are a distant brain fart away!

If you listen and watch the vid carefully - you will notice that the driver seems to let off the throttle early in the jumps - I reckon this is the cause of the appearance of the car being "nose heavy"......I must admit - it does look quite good really.

cheers

It's nice to see another entry into the 2wd class. If only Schumacher's would catch on here.
